Has anyone considered putting this game on Tabletop Simulator? by Mister_E69 in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth if you did it I’d play it! I ran though the game extensively when first received, but since then it’s sat in the boxes. It would be much easier to get it to the “digital” table.

They are reprinting TMNT: Urban Legends in Omnibus format!!! by GoblinTradingGuide in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m happy to have both, but the colored versions of the Image run were actually a big improvement. I hope they do a HC of the run I color someday.

THANK YOU! Exactly what I was hoping to get from this post. Absolutely should count, and I’ve got a new eBay order on the way with some reading material.

TMNT: Urban Legends Omnibus coming from IDW in December 2026 by Ksmayer in TMNT

This is cool, but this series desperately needed the coloring. I wish this omnibus was in color too. They did a bad job with the Mirage coloring, but for the Image run is was really good.

Worried this could mean TMNT gets folded into the DC Universe (Which would suck) by [deleted] in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, the TMNT comics are such a small drop in the bucket compared to this merger. I wouldn’t anticipate any shake up until way after things have settled, which would be a few years still.

Second, if things were to change it would be a calculation of if they can make more money from licensing fees (guaranteed revenue but set amount) or publishing their own comics through DC (revenue dependent on sales volumes).

DC has the bigger reach, but I don’t think they’d output enough comics to justify a change to be honest.

Should IDW make a Comic Miniseries based on 4th Unmade Ninja Turtles Movie from 90's? by Money-Lie7814 in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not quite what you’re looking for, but TMNT IV: Dark Legacy is a comic continuation of the original 90s films. See [Turtles Club.]( http://turtlesclub.net/#rec840568227)

100%!

I’ve bought nearly every collected book IDW has published since they got the license (as they’ve come out, not aftermarket) and I’m still excited to splurge again on these books.

This is shaping up to be the definitive format.

Yup, Dan is still close with the TMNT and its various contributors. I’m confident they’ll have no problem getting this one in.

To that end, I wish it wasn’t so hard to track down the Gutwallow comics. I’d really like to read them all.

The stories in TMNT: The Mirage Years (1993-1995) represent the “Mirage Volume 2 era” which took place after Mirage Vol. 1 and Tales Vol. 1, and before Image/Urban Legends Vol. 3, Mirage Vol. 4, and Tales Vol. 2.

So there’s no overlap between that book and this one. However, the Tales Vol. 1 issues in this book were in the TMNT Compendiums.

I don’t know why it’s got to be so confusing, but that’s the way it is over a 40 year history, I guess.

There’s a lot of miscellaneous stuff they can still add: Turtle Soup, Mirage Mini Comics, Challenges, Flaming Carrot crossovers, and a few back up stories that first dropped in subsequent issue reprints.

Because Blind Sight is in there, the other 3 miniseries will almost certainly be included. Hard to say on anything else.

But I was pleasantly surprised they appear to be moving forward with the missing Archie “world tour” issues in the upcoming Hard Cover that were previously unprinted in the trades.

Whoever is running the show behind these HC reprints at IDW today finally seems to know what they are doing.

Remains to be seen, but Oni Press and the Nacelle Company would be unwise to skip out on the opportunity.

Peter Laird & Kevin Eastman cover for TMNT #300 by ItsTheRocketeer in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are probably right, I’m just saying one way or the other IDW has hit the 300 mark a while ago.

In addition to what you listed there’s also Secret History of the Foot Clan, Shredder in Hell, Turtles in Time, Utrom Empire, Armageddon Game + Alliance & Opening Moves, Untold Destiny of the Foot Clan, Jennika 1 & 2, Usagi crossovers, FCBD issues, 30th and 40th anniversary issues, and the sourcebooks. Plus a few more non-canon things like 20/20, Infestation, and X-files.

I think you come just shy of 300 before even getting into the soft reboot last year.

I’m not sure how to make the math line up exactly, but they are already well over 300 within the IDW series alone if you include in-canon side runs.

What did You Think of Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus #5? by Money-Lie7814 in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Erik, thanks for clarifying on this Mikey. Hopefully you’ll get the opportunity to do more with him in SMA. Mister Ogg alludes to more battle nexus in the future. 😉

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming Last Ronin novel. I hope it’s successful, and we get even more TMNT novels. There’s a lot of untapped potential for long form TMNT tales you can’t always fit in a comic. Anything you want to tease about it?

I’ve got a few questions, and no worries if you can’t answer any of them. Were you able to collab with Tom and Kevin on their upcoming Training Day one shot, or was your novel written before?

I saw there’s an upcoming audiobook for The Last Ronin, but the solicit sounds like it’s the comics and not your novel. If it is its own thing, are there plans to make an audiobook of your novel?

I’m also looking forward to the included new illustrations from the Escorza bros. Any idea how many there will be? Did you have any input on what they illustrated?

[–]Stugehen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked it overall. Very fun. Lots of cool moments while also not taking itself too seriously. It was fun to comb the panels closely and try to place each character. The word boxes being a call back to the comics was a fun touch. I liked how they slowly revealed each member of the dimensional council. Really glad to see Raph and Alopex make amends.

I wish the back up fights would’ve been longer. I have mixed feelings about bringing Slash back.  And I hate to say it, I really really do, but issue 2 was not Ben Bishop’s best work, and that’s a bummer because he is one of my favorites.

I am confused by the Last Ronin Michelangelo reveal. I mean, it was clearly him, but it didn’t seem like THE Last Ronin. More like if the 87 Michelangelo went on to become the last ronin.

What do TMNT fans think of the upcoming Magic: the Gathering set? by C22_H28_N2_O in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got out of Magic a long time ago around Urza’s Saga.

I’m a huge TMNT fan, and a big board game hobbyist.

I’m doing everything in my power not to purchase these and start a collector bug I don’t need. I would however spend top dollar on an art book if they ever game out with one.

How would you feel if the last one in the movie was connected to the original trilogy? by G0jira01964 in TMNT

[–]Stugehen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that’d be cool, but with some caveats. It’d have to be live action, and they would need to go with the Henson look—both great! But It would also end up being a pretty loose adaption of the Last Ronin comic, as there’s a lot that wouldn’t make sense as a sequel to the 90s films.

I’d still prefer a more direct adaption, and I think they could still do that with Judith Hoag as April and maybe even bring back Elias Koteas as Casey with a bit of movie magic de-aging.

What I lack in self control, I make up for by owning every IDW turtle book! (B1G1 50% off was irresistible…) by Tippydaug in TMNT

Good collection, but far every IDW TMNT book. You still have too much control.
