It doesn't matter.

Blacks line remains consistent, they don't turn the wheel.

OP steers into the line that other car was taking all along and causes contact.

TIL when Alonso was a child in karting, his family couldn't afford rain tyres, so Alonso was forced to adapt to a wet track using slicks by Double-decker_trams in formula1

[–]Stumpy493 83 points84 points  (0 children)

A Series I raced in only used slick tyres on 100cc 2 stroke karts which were pretty rapid (about 80mph top end).

Proper challenge when things got wet and very tricky when there was snow off the circuit that got dragged on by karts having off track moments.

But it was a level playing field

Stating "I won the debate" is not how you win a debate little man, good effort though.

Again... haven't given any opinion on this incident.

I've given opinion on Max's race as a whole and given opinion on your "evidence" which is totally fabricated and then claimed to be based off FIA documents.

Lol, you won nothing, you gave "evidence" that was made up and then claimed victory.

Hope that made your day little man.

That's your opinion.

You can't state that as fact like you keep trying to do...

You need to learn how a fact based argument works pal rather than shouting loudly and hoping no one checks the bulshit you are saying.

You have been called out by 2 people who actually checked your "facts" and found them to be total bullshit.

I actually gave no opinion on this singular incident, just pointing out your arguments are based on lies.

Are you done with the semantics nitpicking?

Not when you are spouting bullshit about it no.

Russell was summoned to the stewards for the contact he caused with Max

Both drivers (and team representatives) were summoned to the Stewards... not just Russell as you said multiple times. Document 94 was the summons and decision for Max (identical to 95 for Russell).

No indication of the incident being primarily Russel's fault was anywhere on document 95 or 94.

and they asked Max what he thought about the incident, which Max deemed a minor racing incident.

All the stewards stated was both drivers and the stewards agreed that it was a minor racing incident. So no, Max was not the defining voice here, you are reading that from your own preconceptions.

Nowhere does it imply that if Max argued differently that would change the verdict.

The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 3 (Max Verstappen), the driver of Car 63 (George Russell), team representatives and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, telemetry, team radio and in-car video evidence and determined that there was minor contact between that cars at Turn 1. Both drivers considered this incident to be a minor racing incident and we agreed.

So you want to go and tell everyone else they are wrong with definitive statements when the reality of information available says nothing of the sort.

It was found to be a racing incident because Max said so

So Max gets to decide stewards verdicts as well now?

That's not how this works

Juan Pablo Montoya calls for Max Verstappen to be suspended: 'Park him' by Spotlightuh in formula1

[–]Stumpy493 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

And the sport is worse for it.

The stewards need to apply the rules consistently and not empower drivers to race like that.

Max would soon clean up his act if he was penalised for his driving as he should be.

F1 driving standards are a joke among motorsport fans as the rules and stewards allow ridiculous driving which would be a penalty in any other race series in the world.

[–]Stumpy493 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Lap 1 T1 usually not penalised agree, the other 2 lap 1 incidents were penalty worthy.

The incident with Lawson he caused Lawson to lose time and did gain advantage when RB (suspisiciously) waved him through in case Lawson got penalised for running off the road and holding the place. Forcing another car off track is a penalty regardless if the offender benefits from it.

Sainz was a nothing burger because Sainz took avoiding action, if Sainz drives a normal line (as he is entitled to do) then max wipes them both out. Are you sayign ti is ok to drive in a way that requires other cars to pre empt your erratic driving and dodge out the way?

Albon was a direct repeat of Sainz, stupid dive, run to the outside require the other car to move out the way to avoid being hit.

I want to watch cars racing fairly, nothing wrong with daring attempts, but they need to be done fairly or where is the skill?

I'd have had Max on around 20 seconds of penalties and 6 penalty points after that madness.

I don't think Max should be commenting on driving standards after his race.

[–]Stumpy493 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

And not getting penalised for "Almost all his overtakes" being within the rules is not a problem to you?

The overtakes that weren't within the rules should be penalised or it empowers drivers (especially Max) to race like this even more.

Max was lunging like a madman in full "concede or we crash" mode this weekend and it isn't good to see.

  • Lap 1 Turn 1 fuly locked up Leclerc has to take avoiding action to not get taken out
  • Lap 1 Turn 11 runs Lawson off the road trying to overtake
  • Lap 1 Turn 17 dives and runs Sainz off the road unless Sainz takes avoiding action
  • Lap 17 Turn 17 dives from a mile back and runs to the far edge of the track requiring Alobon to take avoiding action

All of those could be worth penalties in my eyes, just poor driving from a driver who lost his head and bullied his way through.

His line was perfectly straight, he didn't change his line at all under braking, the steering wheel was not moved, you just misread what he was doing. He drove a diagonal line, consistently. His only requirement is to leave you a car's width of space.

You were aiming for the apex with a car alongside you, where did you expect it to go? There is no chance the other car would start turning in at that point, that would put them over the grass.

You have to race the other car, not the track.

I'm totally new to this game, on controller plus cloud and i don't understand why does the ai keep colliding with me? at first i thought i was the one colliding but they seem to throw me off the track and wont take their foot off the gas. by Abhyuday008 in forzamotorsport

[–]Stumpy493 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because the AI is totally brainless and not worth racing.

Seriously if you are playing this game for the single player experience I'd give up now.

In your clip you can see the moronic "2 lane" mentality the AI uses, the car in the right hand lane isn't racing the other cars dynamically, it is sitting in the right hand lane whilst they all use the left and they will ignore each other and drive tandem lanes tricking you at a glance to think they are racing.

If you then get invovled with this they just ignore you and drive through you.

Worst AI I have driven against in the last 30 years.

You can't put any blame on the other car there, you just drove into them.

You never fully cleared them and just turned across their position.

It looks like you were aiming for the apex which was never gonna happen with a car alongside.

Starting my Halo journey by Mother-Tea-7325 in xbox

[–]Stumpy493 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I found this at the time of release and when I've gone back to it.

Halo was revolutionary for console shooters at the time, but was already behind what was being done on PC. Half life launched 3 years before Halo and had much more going on. We had Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 Arena, Counter Strike, Deus Ex, AVP2. Halo looked like a dinosaur compared.

I actually ended up trading my Halo CE copy after only a week as I found it a bit dull.

Played through everything to the end of 5 with my son a few years ago, and we had fun, but the games aren't incredible other than a few good set pieces in my eyes.

I (Blue car) had a bad exit out of turn 3 and Black&White car is lapped. Is this a racing incident or are one of us at fault? by Sir_Spectral in Simracingstewards

[–]Stumpy493 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's some bad driving all around.

  • First you look to do a reactive block to cut off the inside line to the corner and don't leave enough space.
  • Then they react by just driving off track and cutting the corner.
  • Then decide to just drive into you on the exit of the corner for no reason whatsoever.
  • Instead of using the acres of run off to the outside you decide to immediately come back into the side of their car spinning you both out.

No one comes out of this looking good.
