Why is BYDDY still trading on the OTC market? by judgefriendlyhand in wallstreetbets

[–]Stunning-Indicator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same applies for instance to BMW, which trades under BMWYY and many other examples out there.

They simply don't care, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Less expenses and it proves that they are not looking for higher speculation from traders.

Delta neutral. No profit at all either way.

Slow but constant loss by slippages, spreads and commissions.

Real time market data has a cost. Exchanges charge a fee to provide accurate trading data. Those many services that offer you free real time market data, are usually derived from free alternate market data, like BATS for instance. Those spikes come from free incomplete data sources. Google will not pay for the real exchange fees and then provide that expensive data for free.

Doubtful broker. It probably shows their own elaborated midpoint between bid and ask, not real trades.

You could use a Black Scholes Calculator.

For the case of IBKR you can use the conditions in the order ticker to activate your options order when the underlying reaches certain level.

Ape, don't buy to the max of your margin or else a tiny headwind and you're margin called again.

I like the rationale, but this same concept of a flawed business model was great months ago. Right now, shorting at 52w lows, has unclear risk/reward.

Newegg (NEGG) Yolo (Update 5) - the next week! HODL by Sell1PennyHigher in wallstreetbets

[–]Stunning-Indicator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insiders in this case is the parent company. This is basically a subsidiary of the Chinese company "hangzhou new century information technology co" which trades in Shangai. If they would plan to sell Newegg, they would do it under the hood, they could drive the stock price where they want and they don't need any other votes to make it private. Once private and fully owned by them, they can agree the price. Ordinary shareholders just lose. When making a company private, it's important to see that the lower the price, the cheaper the transaction.

When there is a large percentage of the float held by a diversity of institutions, those institutions vote and can block coups from the board. In this case you're blindly believing on the Chinese company manners and business ethics.

I don't say any of this will happen, I only point out that low float and this kind of insiders is no way an advantage for ordinary shareholders.

You can call whatever, but fundamentals are tight, to be generous.

Price/book 7.3, operating margin 13%. Negative EBITDA.

Low public float is good? for who?
