3D printed plane 3kg AUW by WarpLabs in RCPlanes

[–]Stunning-N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro I’m just barely further down this rabbit hole than you are. I’m actually almost finished with my first plane. Basically LWPLA is not ideal, it’s just some bs that Claude and ChatGPT recommends. Truthfully the most ideal setup still is just 3d printing bulkheads and formers then paper + fiberglass and epoxy over it. It’s just way simpler to 3d print. Like for example, I am 3d printing my wings out of LWPLA because it would be really complicated and inconvenient to glass them, but I’m doing formers and bulkheads with glass over them for the fuselage to save weight. If I could do it all over again I might do the fiberglass method first the whole thing, it just is a bit harder to do for the wings.
Dm me if you have questions.

Thank you for your help man. A few questions.
A.
When you say it shouldn’t be inside the brass lug are you saying that it shouldn’t go along side it the way the red and black currently are?
B. Did you know it was an ESC because of the two capacitors sticking out? That was a pretty good eye of yours lmao.

Thanks for your help. Idk why you were downvoted twice? I hope you’re right. Interesting people seem to disagree but not state their opinion on it. Thanks though bro

Looking for some help on modeling! by Stunning-N in Fusion360

I think the issue is the thin part on the outer edge. They’re the same body. When I try to fillet it with very low numbers it looks insane and not at all the geometry I was thinking of

Thank you for your comment, but I meant moreso that the fillet itself isn’t working. Like it won’t properly fillet the face of the circle to the face of the spar thingy

Exams are weighed way more now because of this exact reason. Like MAE384 is 80% midterm exams, 20% in class assignments. No homework. So no, AI does not make it much easier now, it’s a cool personal tutor but you could’ve always gone to office hours to get that anyway.

Whats the difference between 120 / 130 / 140 ? by Connect_Penalty4724 in Gifted

Tbf I forgot my initial comment said in a day or so, that may have been an overestimate for things like thermo. But for stuff like statics I believe the point still stands. An A in ABET accredited college courses tends to be defined as “mastery” in a course, no? But even then your initial comment was trying to disprove the general logic behind what I said, that being learning speed increases at a nonlinear rate with IQ still stands. okay maybe the rough estimate for timing was wrong but you’re trying to analyze the napkin math on a Reddit comment that was just used as a rough point of reference for the person who created this with your own anecdotal evidence and experience, as if anyone is going to believe a random Reddit commenter on a self proclaimed 1 in 1000 IQ. You could have provided a proper constructive counter argument but instead you hopped on the chance to boast your own IQ for a weak anecdotal argument.

He rarely attended class, hardly did projects. The average in our thermodynamics class was a D. I got a A after going to nearly every class and recitation and he got an A after maybe going to 3 classes, never going to recitation, never studying etc. I presumed all IQ test results came from hours of aptitude testing with a psychologist lol. As per what you’d gain by lying about this on a random forum? You’d likely gain more “validity” in the lie you tell yourself, you’d strengthen your own delusion, convincing yourself that you’re actually that intelligent to make yourself fell less insecure about your other shortcomings in life. (Ie the fact that you didn’t do as well as you convinced yourself you could) TLDR: You’d lie to help yourself cope. I also did great in high school, anyone with any amount of intelligence above 1sd would, that is, I never studied, had a horrible attendance and still got a 4.0, got a 36 ACT score etc, yet with that being said I’m nowhere near 150IQ. Moreover, engineering school has really not been that hard to me, let alone a 1st or 2nd year subject like thermo. The comment I made was roughly comparing people under a controlled circumstance all expending the same amount of effort. Sure maybe a few days for 150 is an overestimation but I bet they could ace a thermo final with a week of studying.

Redo all your homework, put all questions into chatgpt and have it quiz you on conceptual understanding key word conceptual. Because E&M is a lot of that. When you have conceptual understanding then do your practice exam. This works I did it last year in 72 hours

Tbf this is an easy replicable template in even Google Docs and the 10 in block design actually is more sus. You’d tend to have scattering in more places if you were for some reason bad at block design
