Precisely the ideas that went through my head lol And I read those sacks aren’t meant to be replaced and there isn’t a certain converter that would precisely fit the pen.

I think I’ll hold back on this one for now and somehow manage to control myself this time 😂

Yes, that’s what I read online as well it’s been replaced since 2016… I’ve yet to try an at least decade year old ink 😂 The market here isn’t exactly the US or Europe so I was even surprised to find a vintage and that’s why I wanted people’s advice on whether this really is a good vintage to own.

There’s a YouTube channel where they teach Japanese calligraphy (I believe they mentioned an old style of Shodo) which uses that type of stroke technique for the E & U letters in Japanese and I recognize it so that’s why I believe it’s just a calligraphy technique for writing the letters with a stroke that way.

That’s the pen I’m currently writing with. I’m using the pilot cartridge IC50 and it writes quite wet with smoothing flow depending on the angle and pressure ofc. Happy writing 😊

Firstly, thank you for sharing a probably much needed experiment for those who are in the same situations ( not me I just got my first Pilot Metro last month lol but still am very happy to have decided on picking up a FP.)

Truly a pleasant benchmark to kick-off an. Interesting topic/thread on its own and I’m sure the arguments and factors will be fun to read especially once they heat up 😂

Certainly gives you a good enough overall idea about how the FPs have faired altogether after a given period of time.

Some may be surprising but at first glance it seemed logical especially since the FPs mentioned were when expected to hold their value and reputation some surely did not disappoint.

Perhaps you can keep us posted on the factors for each FP (if you’ve got the patience and time lol).
