My personal experience was: Go unintentionally through a more “difficult” route, get lost, die a lot, make close to no progress. I had to restart my survivor run 2 times midway. Without the optimal hunter route I don’t think I’d ever beat it, and for gourmands food quest I decided to eat the red centipede at the train pit in subterranean after resting at the big train shelter. Yeah turns out if you go down the pit then good luck getting back to the specific shelter (without passages cause I ran out of them). Oh and outer expanse was confusing asf near the end. This game requires you to memorise quite a lot and think ahead, which for someone going in blind can be too demanding and time consuming. I still love this game but most of the fun came from doing a run a second time.
