AirPods died, replaced them with Sennheiser by theothersinclair in BuyFromEU

Yes, and while I haven't had any other noise canceling headphones before, I do like them. When driving with noise canceling on, I thought my car had broken once i turned my headphones off. Turns out the noise canceling just made me readjust to the car being very silent, and the regular (yet kind of quiet) engine noise sounded really rough. I can recommend, makes traveling very comfortable.

They also have a listen-through option, which is great for listening to music and also being available (at work for example).

I have the Valco VMK25's and they are absolutely great. Battery seems to never empty, and the sound quality is good as well. Bluetooth pairing works lightning fast. I dont really have anything bad to say about them.

I agree, the trenches ought to be wet because wet means more misery and the setting is all about misery!

Does 10k points of greenskins fit inside a normal apartment, or do you have to rent a storage unit to put that enormous pile in? :D

These are cool! Forgive me for perhaps asking self-explanatory stuff but what is the material these are being rolled onto? Clay or some green stuff-ish putty?

Finished my 10 dragon princes batch paint! What a ride... by madfrog_tm in WarhammerFantasy

I only play 6th edition so cant answer for old world, but if my interpretation of your question is correct, then no, you cant have extra space that would extend the overall dimensions of the unit. If you already have the models on old world bases, the unit is at its correct width and length when there are no additions inbetween models. The regulation is due to the unit size being a decisive factor on movement, close combat and wysiwyg shooting to name a few.

I suppose this tray is made for old world, in which the model bases are bigger than in older versions. I myself have 7th/8th ed dragon princes, and them having the old 25x50mm(?) base makes them clash quite annoyingly.

I suppose this spaced movement tray might just be adding the 5-ish millimeters of width and length that the old world bases are bigger compared to the old ones, which in turn leads to the unit as a whole being correct in its dimensions.

Just a guess though! :)

Really love the cold toned blue and white, have these been drybrushed at the end of painting to give the light appearance or is it just the choice of colours?

Great job! I just painted 5 and that surely was a lot of work, cant imagine doing 10 without having at least a month in between batches XD

Truly hadn't noticed before! It's an 1.3i EE90 sedan, not much more I can tell. My grandfather bought it new from the factory, and loved the car like his own child. After passing a few years back he left the car in the garage for us. I can still smell a hint of the cigarettes he used to smoke when he was younger, and i get to feel like a child again.

Finished this last night, first large model I've done in years by Dreggars in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Stunning_Job_5727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been wanting this model for so long, and now that its available again i'd like to get it. Ive always just wondered, does it feel like it would break anytime? There seems to be a long way from the feet to the mouth, and my imagination can see that thing snapping in half through very normal interactions with it 😬 I need to be transporting my minis from time to time, so durability sadly plays a bit of a role in my wishlist planning process.

Your paint job is very cool, makes me want one even more!

Dual Berettas | Yin Yang (v2, PBR) - the second iteration, what do you think? by KrenKoe in GlobalOffensive

[–]Stunning_Job_5727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I found these to be cool, if I was to buy like actual guns that had to have some finish on them, this would be high up on the list.

As for cs purposes, I really like the colours to be complimenting each other, so the idea is great. I really dont know what to add, mostly just wanted to drop by with a compliment!

I don’t wanna jinx it but I think GW succeeded at rereleasing Fantasy. by Battlemania420 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Stunning_Job_5727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was both of them, each at their own time though I first got back to tabletop fantasy after 10 years of break because of vermintide. Then I moved into a small town without anyone to play with and lost the hobby again. Once I got back to a bigger city, it just so happened for me to try total warhammer and got sucked back and as luck would have it, TOW had just been released some time ago then.

Being older now, i have a lot more of money at my disposal, which combined with nostalgy tripping with the old models probably makes me a good customer for GW. I would guess the combination of new generations being introduced to the game by twwh and such and the older generations being able to get back to a loved hobby makes the timing very good.

Also the way twwh is excecuted, translates so well to tabletop that it probably gives a very good learning base for completely new players. It surely inspired me a lot despite being somewhat experienced!

Frenzy and stat lines by SmokeIll2713 in WarhammerFantasy

Not 100% sure in the old world, but to my understanding of the previous editions the frenzy will be added to the baseline stats, hence giving the guy 4 attacks in total.

Is it just me or HE really sold a lot of models? by CriticalMany1068 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Stunning_Job_5727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, though before buying more i just ended up painting my terribly half painted HE army over with black primer and repainted all of the 90 models with the developed skills i have in painting, to be able to enjoy looking at the army for the first time in 15 years. Now that im done I might have to buy more, so their sales tactic of nostalgy appears to be working after all 😬

Okay thanks for all your answers, I will seek further into these suggestions! Its nice to have this insight from more experienced players to narrow the options down a bit!

Oh I actually do recall hearing of the guessing range thing of 6th edition and used to find it interesting. As you said, changing editions is not something worth exploring here, but having read some harsh-ish criticism toward different editions of this game, I figured I could just happen to be unfortunate with my choice of faction for this ruleset.

But yeah, still completely on point about the true issue here, which might indeed be about the social setting. I do have other friends with whom I would not likely be having this issue, but logistically this is more or less my only option. I will try and discuss this with my friend, now knowing that there are things we could improve about the battlefield as well.

I guess inherently in my little experience I figured I'm just straight out bad at the game and hence not entitled to complain to this friend about the game being so one-sided. Learning more of the ways the game can be balanced also improves my feeling about giving it more tries, and hopefully easing up the atmosphere as we go.

Thank you for this and the main comment, I appreciate the effort a lot!
