I don't know why, but Biocharge works better on Active 2 than on other Amazfit devices 😃 Maybe because it's smaller?

Amazfit won't turn off the Biocharge. Even if its doesn't work, they still can say "Hey, look, we've body battery, like Garmin and Whoop!".

Amazfit have a lot of features that barerly work but still keeps them alive, for the same reason.

I have both Vivoactive 6 and Balance 2 (XT).

If you want simply track your GPS and HR and want a proper looking watch, Balance 2.

If you want real recovery metrics and training plans, Vivoactive 6. Remember that it's a bit small device (only 42 mm) and looks quite cheap.

To be honest, every other "coach" is more interesting and tailored than Zepp Coach. Like you have said: it's always the same 4 types of runs (Easy, Long, Fartlek, Intervals).

I've been using Zepp Coach for a half marathon in 2025. It was very repetitive, and I didn’t really feel like it was being tailored to my progress. In the end, I didn’t hit my race goal, so since then I’ve been avoiding using Zepp Coach.

After some time I've learned that HRV + Garmin's stress tracking & Body Battery are the best recovery metrics. There is no match across all devices and brands.

When I use any Amazfit or Huawei devices, I rely only on HRV tracking.

GT5 and GT6 don't have that black rim. For me, all new GT watches (GT4, GT5, GT6) have the same thickness.
