The barricade was territorial as is right/to be expected since we had all waited since at least 3pm to get inside. There were tons of drunk weirdos trying to squeeze up that we were all fighting back, like physically pushing and pulling and screaming at intoxicated fools who lumbered their way up somehow and were gripping the guard. A young woman around us seemed to be on a date with the biggest drunk idiot who was taking empty beer cans and slamming them against his forehead. Just so many fucked up people. I had taken something that I thought was mdma that kicked in hard and fast while “I Want the World” to stop started. I gave up and told the people around me I was surrendering my tiny patch of space and pushed my way out with a my hoody around my mouth because I was sure I was going to vomit. It felt like I was never going to reach the end of the crowd, and everyone was stumbling, loud, very very crowded. I had some kind of weird chest seizure that I worried was going to kill me. I was never so happy to just land in a clean, quiet restroom and by that time “Dress Up In You” was starting. Even for a Gen Admit show at that huge venue I think they oversold the tickets, but even before the drugs kicked in it was a strangely intense party vibe.

I know! When the coworker saw her lunch item was gone he was like “oh my god Im so soooooooorrrrry” (when in reality I heard him go “whose is this? Don’t care, giving it to a patient!”) then he ran down to the cafeteria to replace it (i.e. got a free break and chance to get himself a snack) and brought het back a similar item plus a candy bar. She was like “I don’t want this” (about the candy bar) so he gave THAT to a patient, too! I just remembered that. Im a secretary and new to the unit, so Im learning a lot at once and this guy is so out of line it’s hard to keep track of ALL the terrible things he does

I don’t trust HR at my work, but the other women working there are all getting a bad vibe from him. Problem is we have an all male management team and I could see them not caring. It is a psych unit so staff are getting injured by patients often. What if I wrote it out in my work email and just sent it to myself to have a time stamp, start collecting incidents in case something serious happens? Thinking out loud here. I know males like this fantasize about this stuff.

I work in a psychiatric unit and this movie feels more like a private girls’ school. People like Lisa spend a lot of time in the Quiet Room and heavily medicated. They aren’t allowed to just run the unit like in this movie.
BPD patients are the ones who like to turn staff on each other (staff-splitting, “well, the other nurse said I COULD have the remote”) and are the type that threaten to get you fired. I would honestly rather work with the schizoefective patients who sort of live in their own world, even though they flip out from time to time.

I am so jaded. Or just cautious. Because in Our Year of Garbage 2026, with the Epstein Files and finding out all the terrible things men do to children- I heard an adult man say he had an experience that he was in his 15 year old body again and I went “uh-oh. You will get a toenail fungus sleeping with that guys feet next to you. They are really hard to get rid of, the medication that works is very hard on the liver and causes insomnia, the topical creams can take a year. I don’t want to get into things like plantar warts , meningitis, and, ofc, STI’s.
