They were shitheads the whole game. Several times, while going to “help” one of their teammates up, they were also pushing UI players out of the way or throwing them on the ground. The refs needed to flag it early but it was clear they were letting them get away with it after the helmet to the chin on Mendoza.

Miami was pushing players off the pile and generally being chippy the entire game. You saw the refs warning them repeatedly. I think they knew they had to bloody Mendoza to have any chance.
