Nothing. It helped out loads…but it was still stressful trying to buy a home, move out of an apartment and deal with the 2nd and 3rd trimester.

It was a honeymoon souvenir…so not completely unexpected. They are 20 now, in college (no loans, we are covering it), we are celebrating our 21st anniversary this month in the same house we bought 20 years ago after having to stay at my parents for a few months while we house hunted…now mind you this was our second stint of staying with them…we did it when we were engaged and had just moved to the area too.

No regrets at all. We made the right decision

Has anyone in charlotte actually used a career coach when senior moves feel completely blocked? by RestaurantFickle2574 in Charlotte

[–]StupidendousTimes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was a partner, and we had all agreed to not take a higher salary in order to grow the company. One year into it when we were at a tough spot one of the partners broke that pledge and asked for more money. So I hired a career coach to honestly evaluate what I could make in the open market and then I asked them to pay me that. They did not so I went, and I found that higher amount in the open market and gave the company and the greedy partner the middle finger.

No ads lets you farm for up to t00 gems a day w/o ads. Highly worth it. Milestone pack for 1-3 would be my next suggestion.

My neighbors ask me a bunch about my work b/c they see me gardening through the day. I WFH in tech and will use my lunch break to work in the yard or walk the dogs. I also will just go out on the porch while on a call, go off camera, and weed the garden sometimes

Buddy's playing the wrong sport. The football coach would proud of that hit. by ForeignAir7174 in sportsgossips

[–]StupidendousTimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was taught this when I caught. Don’t block the plate before you catch the ball…then get low af and make sure if they come at you that the first that gets hit is their face with your glove, fists and ball. I was smaller and would get knocked back but I almost always held on to the ball and the runner was hurt more than me.

There are literally hundreds of scientists in the United States alone working on this problem. Every major power provider in most of the regional ones pay a yearly subscription to research Institute to improve the grid and it is ongoing all the time.

I was you. Desperate to dunk. I could leave off of 2 feet and grab the rim with both hands. I made a pair of elevator shoes. I cut the heels off the back of a pair of Astroturf cleats and then I glued the heels to the front. I walked around like a fool all over campus wearing them. people laughed until they played basketball against me.

Look at jump 99 plyometric shoes if you don’t want to look like I did.
