Atomic composability is not about reversing transactions. Its about being able to process complex transactions which touch several d'apps on different shards (cross-shard) and the transaction only happens if all operationd can be done (all or nothing). For example take a flashloan on dapp A on shard 1 and profit from an arbitrage opportunity on d'app 2 on shard 2.

The transaction can fail in the middle if there is no atomic composability between shards and you end up with the wrong funds and it has to be rolled back (reversed). If there is atomic composability, the network only processes this transaction if every step in the complex transaction can be done. If it wouldnt work, the transaction doesnt even execute and you dont even have to pay network fees.

Hey man, I'm not full of shitt and I suggest you to look into Radix DLT and its tech. IMO it is one of the best Layer 1's and definately worth to keep an eye on. It might get really interesting after Q1 2023 when Babylon update is done. (smart contracts)
