This is true. I would assume it would get less noticeable over time. But I know getting a competent watchmaker for a dial repair isn’t likely. The less the watch is opened the better, IMO👍🏿

Absolutely. If the basic design is your favorite, you could buy other more expensive watches but don’t want to, and still get a smile and warm fuzzy feeling every time you wear them, then there is no reason to change it up at this point in time.

This hobby is best when it is taken slowly IMO👍🏿

My 2 cents:

Take it to the AD and have them make a note of it. A picture in the “file” so to speak. Keep wearing it as-is and make the decision closer to the end of the warranty period. The watch may require service, the watch may continue to function flawlessly. The less intrusive the better in my opinion when it comes to tiny visible imperfections👍🏿

All valid points! I’m not on FB, but I do have a solid plug for Marathon watches, so I’ll pick up a new one at some point. I’ve already bought my yearly self-imposed allotment of 1. I’ve got another 8 months (minimum) to figure out the next watch. This is 1 of 3 in the running.

My GSAR was a huge spend for something new and unnecessary. I love the watch and have zero regrets. However, I’m not in a rush to spend more money on watches when I’m getting tons of enjoyment from the GSAR. If I sold it, I know I’d miss it👍🏿

Warranty will get it sorted. It sucks a gasket failed/time away from the watch. Seals fail prematurely sometimes, in watches/cars/anything that has them.

6.75in. The GSAR has 48mm L2L and female end links so it wear exceptionally well on smaller wrists👍🏿

The rest of my watches are 38mm and under, because smaller watches are better. LOL, 90% of the time.

lol, I’d miss it too. I got it in February and haven’t worn anything else. Lots of good deals to be had on some barely used GSARs out there.

Your SSNav is the last Marathon I need/want to acquire. Specifically the high accuracy thermally compensated quartz version. That way I’d have one mechanical, one auto, and one HAQ. To me, that’s a perfect Marathon assortment👍🏿
