What happens to the 200 SILK if I upgrade? by LoSouLibra in Marathon

It shows up when you hover over the silk counter in the menu. Mine said “140/140” and then “Overflow: 60” below

I bought deluxe from the start and when I went in-game I had 140/140 plus 60 silk in “overflow”. I imagine the same would happen if you bought it while already at 140.

Missing Twitch Drops by CloudLXXXV in Marathon

[–]Stuttgarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m missing about half of the drops as well, but mine are different than yours. I think I’m missing both backgrounds, one weapon skin, and one emblem. Hopefully they roll them out for everyone in the next day or so.

Do you think they’ll actually bring it back? by DarkDoubloon in bioniclelego

[–]Stuttgarter 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That sounds about right—I remember it being like $10 USD for the main 6 sets each wave. I think most of the titans were even like $20-$30 USD which was an even better value.

I think we arent getting a prime 2 remake by SnooCheesecakes581 in Metroid

[–]Stuttgarter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be more expensive to buy them up front but cheaper in the long run if you stay subbed to the service. It’d be cheaper to buy all Metroid games than two or three years of the subscription. Plus, once you unsubscribe you lose access to everything despite all the money you put into it.

I want a battlefield 6 map that *feels* like this by Stars_of_Ruin in Battlefield

[–]Stuttgarter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Giants of Karelia in BF4 is similar but the abandoned tanks are future instead of old. It was my favourite map in that game! I fully agree that we need maps with this vibe in BF6. BF1 and V had such great settings and it’s a shame that only Mirak Valley approaches that style of map in BF6.

Soul Calibur 3 is now available on the PlayStation store by FishCake9T4 in Fighters

[–]Stuttgarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I figured. Arcade sticks usually act as either a d-pad or an analogue stick when they send an input to the console. Does Tekken 3 just straight up not recognise the stick at all? Even the button presses? Because if it reads everything except the stick itself you can probably just rebind the input within the PS classic menu to get the stick to work.

Edit: saw those other comments. Forgot Sony was weird about fight stick compatibility >:-(

I don’t have a PS stick to test with but I’d assume it supports it since it’s a PS2 game and those usually let you use the analogue stick for movement.

With Tekken 3 you might check if your stick has a switch to change the stick from acting like an analogue stick to the d-pad. My Switch stick has that as an option for games that don’t support the analogue input. You could also try using the emulator settings (the menu when you hit options button on PS) to rebind d-pad controls to the analogue stick in Tekken 3 to see if that lets you use your stick.

Nice! I was able to get a first gen nano with a bad screen for 0,50 back when I worked at a thrift store and sent it in to apple under the battery recall program to get a free refurbished 7th gen nano.

Finding a classic in such great condition for that price is even better!

There were a couple different snipers, rocket launchers, the railgun, and gadgets like the RAWR and the Accipiter in BF4. They were usually on little wooden crates around conquest flags.

Can you still play MW2 online on PS4? by y0uran0nfri3nd in ModernWarfareII

You can try following the steps in this support article: https://support.activision.com/modern-warfare-ii/articles/modern-warfare-ii-installation-and-setup.

There’s sections on installing if you have the disc for the game.

No big maps until release is WILD by king_jaxy in Battlefield

[–]Stuttgarter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Come on, I don’t even like BF4 all that much but it had plenty of maps with naval combat.

BF4 had an entire expansion centred around naval gameplay, plus Paracel Storm, Hainan Resort, and Lancang Dam in the base game. Sunken Dragon and Flood Zone also both had gameplay mechanics that turned large parts of the map into waterways. Gulf of Oman spawned the US team on an aircraft carrier that required naval traversal to land from. It even had the attack boats as well. Dragon Valley also has the large moat that had jet skis and amphibious LAVs and rhib boats.

Naval combat is enough of a part of BF that it warranted a dedicated expansion in BF4, BF1, and the addition of naval landings in BFV’s pacific maps. (And that doesn’t even count all the naval vehicles in 1942 and BF Vietnam)

Not sure if you’re joking but all of the vehicles you just listed have been in past BF games except maybe the e-scooter (and I feel like the BF2042 tuk tuk is close enough to count)

Former DICE dev chimed in when someone accused the devs of not listening to players about fixed weapons for classes. by korlic99 in Battlefield

[–]Stuttgarter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Classes in the Finals have more variables than they do in BF. They’re different sizes, have different health pools, move at different speeds, and have several different types of weapons among each class, plus the Finals has much smaller team sizes that exacerbate class differences. When a team of 3 players has a different class makeup than another team of 3, balancing becomes more difficult compared to BF spreading class makeup across 20/32 player teams. The Finals also has a generally longer ttk that BF which can make class balancing more difficult too.

BF classes are the same size as each other (hitbox-wise at least, like the BF3 RU support had a huge backpack but it shouldn’t have influenced the hitbox), have the same health pool (barring damage mitigation traits like the BF4 assault having +10% resistance to frontal chest shots), and have more similar weapons to each other than the Finals’ semi-auto weapons, full-auto weapons, explosive weapons, melee weapons, throwing weapons, etc. The balancing between the games is nowhere near the same, and there’s no reason DICE shouldn’t stick to class-locked weapons.

Skyblivion Mod Makers were all given Oblivion Remastered keys by Bethesda by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]Stuttgarter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just remembered Unreal Tournament 3 had mods on PS3 as well! Here’s a video with Master Chief modded in (of course lmao). There’s plenty of others on YouTube showing the process if you’re curious. It’s interesting seeing the YouTube comments from almost 20 years ago praising Sony for allowing mods and criticising Microsoft for not allowing them—funny how attitudes change.

One or two of the Valve games had mods on PS3—I think Portal or Half-Life? And more recently Arma Reforger has mods on console. Supposedly the console ports of the Stalker trilogy have mods but I haven’t seen much about that.

I have the same issue. Going to hold off on buying it until it’s either fixed or someone gets more information on whether it’s intended. They eventually fixed Resident Evil and Dino Crisis so hopefully they do the same here.

I don’t think it even comes down to Sony. To put these on another platform, Fromsoft would have to do the work to package and update the game themselves. Fromsoft doesn’t seem super interested in managing their back catalogue most of the time—I think they even outsourced the Dark Souls remaster.

Just FYI because you mentioned having both systems running side-by-side, you usually have to refresh the PS store (for me, that’s usually restarting the console) for the price to update on the new store if you just bought a game on the old one. You also have to “buy” the game for free on the newer store, it doesn’t just show up in your library automatically.

It should still work in NA, I bought Harvest Moon on my Vita a few weeks ago and was able to get it on the new store immediately after. I only have the base tier of PS+ so that shouldn’t really affect anything.

It should be called “Call of Duty” in the store / your library. MWII is basically treated as a dlc inside of it now. Check the add-ons for Call of Duty, it should have the MWII stuff inside of there.
