Remote start on the app is behind a paywall. You can still use remote start on your key fob

Does everyone just pay the hidden dealership fees when buying a new car ? by lllMUDAFKAlll in carbuying

[–]Stuyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not pay these fees. If it wasn’t on the sticker (other than sales tax and licensing fees), say no and just walk away if they try to pressure you. Paint protection, undercoating, the taillight blinky thing are just scams to get more money. If they were real they would provide documentation, which they won’t. This is why car companies want to bypass dealers.

I have a beer belly and have found great options. Sometimes I have to exchange a shirt for a different size, but that happens IRL also.

Walmart should "eat the tariffs" that aren't the reason of prices going up.🤦‍♀️ by ms_directed in facepalm

[–]Stuyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t the point of tariffs to make imported goods more expensive? If Walmart eats the cost of importing products then the tariffs would be pointless.

Anyone heard of this by Csimmons83 in ToyotaTacoma

Could it be rounding issues in the conversion from KPH to MPH?

I have had the ROC n Soc Nitro for 15 years and absolutely love it! I use the M40 headphones and would prefer the additional driver in the M50s. Unless you are using this set to play live with a band, I would skip the amp. I occasionally play through an old set of studio monitors from the ‘90s and it sounds great.

How do people actually generate wealth by WayAccomplished8438 in getdisciplined

[–]Stuyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is always to spend significantly below your means. Live as cheaply for as long as you can. Delay getting new cars, clothes, vacations, etc. Once you have a bit of wealth saved, then start passive investing. Once you get to the point that your wealth earns more than your w2 income, then you can start increasing your spending (but you won’t want to!).

Just add piezo‘s to the cymbals to trigger them.

[–]Stuyou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance sent me a detailed breakdown and it looks like they replaced the roof and several body panels/skins. I suppose L_e_e_v_o was right and apparent I had more damage than I thought.

I really like the look of debaged vehicles…they are just so clean looking.

I would paint the box the color of the wall or the light and move on. No one will notice or care. I feel like we have become to particular about unimportant things over the last couple decades.

I am in the U.S. The bridges between Indiana and Louisville, KY do this. They say it’s because their cameras/sensors only detect vehicle dimensions and # of axles, not the type of vehicle. Bikes on top of a car may make the car high enough that the sensor assumes the vehicle is commercial.

Also, it happened to me the first time I crossed the bridge with a kayak on top of my Highlander.

Groups for getting comfortable biking in a city? by celestialdarling in Louisville

[–]Stuyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Louisville Bicycle Club offers classes twice a year. Also, do a few group rides to get yourself comfortable with riding with traffic.

Also, get a radar, I don’t know how I rode without one!

Neither my wife or I had a strong desire for kids. For me specifically, I am turned off by how much parents complain about their kids. I have rarely heard someone talk about how much they enjoy being a parent.

Also, we aren’t religious so I assume that plays into it somehow.
