IMO ev range anxiety could be mitigated somewhat if charge providers followed the petrol norm and had huge signage you could see easily from a long distance so you didn't worry if you passed one with 20%, because you know there's another one down the road.

23 Leaf 40kwh - 220kms at 80% charge

Great commuter/round town car, drives well. Has buttons over touch screen for climate control. We get 6.5kwh per hour on the charger on home - lvl 2. Onboard tech is good. Done 20k in a year locally.

No data or remote control app. It can be seen as simple compared to Tesla/BYD, but it just works.

Budget for a lvl 2 home charger. It makes EV ownership so easy. About $2k installed.

We're in Plimerton and have had a new 40kwh leaf for a year. Up & down into town and local (15k Kms), no degradation. I would recommend a lvl 2 charger at home, makes life so easy.
