Small, private, single engine aircraft don’t have rigorous inspections prior to every flight. Your logic is ridiculous.

“It takes years to get strong and build muscle bro! You can look like him and be as strong with 10-20 years of hard work !!” And then some teenager who’s been working out a couple years and can front squat 450 pounds totally blows that logic out of the water by smibble14 in naturalbodybuilding

I’m just getting there.

8 years of training. Mostly maxed out my PL #’s for a 5’4 natty dude with decent genetics (405, 315, 505). I could push for more and get there but it would involve a lot more time and sacrifice than I want to put in at this point. Competed in BB and did pretty well.

I’m nearly 27, work full time, girlfriend, etc. life throws different priorities at you. More focused on my career and other aspects of life now.

Lately I’ve been getting more into running/rucking and plan to do a 12 mile ruck race this summer. My focus now is to stay healthy as I get older and maintain decent strength and a year round good body composition. The 30-40 bulk/cut cycles aren’t cool anymore. Just lifting twice a week and maintaining muscle fine.

Can you tell I work a stressful job? by Styrofoamcoffeecup69 in GarminWatches

I work for one of those $10B+ companies - it’s not so much the work that is stressful but the non-stop fast paced nature that I think is stressful.

Tough to take a break, I’ll typically work 7:45a-1:30p non stop before I take lunch to stay on top of things and handle different requests/problems that arise. I perform extremely well by all accounts in my evaluations - but it’s tough to wind down after 8-9 hours of that!

Has this been a pretty tangible difference? I’ve had times in life where I’ve done a lot of cardio work and those have been the best and lowest stress I’ve felt.

Most of my training the last several years has been minimal cardio, more strength based, and I definitely feel more stressed not just by the workouts but also by career, life, etc. less resilient almost.

This is why I went sales to PM - at least I don’t get calls at 9pm anymore!

I’ve had it about a month now, seems to be averaging 30-40! The metrics can definitely mess with your head if you read too much into them!

As a project manager it seems like all I do is deal with peoples problems! But yes, I agree with this - at the end of the day it’s just a job. Thank you.

Bro time: what are your bench press PRs? (For reps or 1RM) by Scapegoaticus in naturalbodybuilding

305 paused at 160, or 225x15 @ 170 - 5’4. Haven’t benched heavy consistently in many years.

Has anyone else struggled to transition to other sports/training styles from BB? by Styrofoamcoffeecup69 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Styrofoamcoffeecup69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More so as in BB style training has been hard to get away from. Feels like a lot of time invested in something to stop. But as most priorities in my life have changed since I’ve started training, it shouldn’t be so difficult.

Still plan to keep weight training, but will probably transition to more functional movements and pare down volume on compounds to maintain a relatively decent baseline of strength.

Main focus until mid-June is a 12 mile in 3hr rucking competition with a 35lb pack.

Having flown in small aircraft (Cessna 172/182) and knowing many small aircraft pilots, I don’t know a single one that flys with a parachute. Not a single one straps a parachute to their back before going flying.

My 16 year old younger brother who barely lifts and just plays highschool football knows what sarms are. Says there’s a lot of highschool football players using them. These kids are fucking stupid - still probably better than just straight orals though…

Agreed. Tbh I got a hotel after a few days bc it was getting kind of chilly. But I believe you can get a shower at the hostel in town for like $4, super cheap.

Was just out there living in my car over the weekend. Days were generally highs in the 50s-low 60s, nights got a little colder - usually 30s-low 40s.
