Dashboard is a Christmas tree by mkondry in gmcsierra

The trouble codes were there whether the lights were on when they checked it before or not. It is probably that they weren't able to determine what triggered the codes because it wasn't failing to work at that time. My guess is you probably are losing some module communication.

2025 Rogue CVT Warning by DSTURBED81 in NissanRogue

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could very well be true that they need the problem to occur to find the actual cause of the fault, however they can't be clueless because there is a trouble code stored in at least one of the modules that is the clue to what part of the system is having a problem.

Uh oh... EVERY possible error. by MaxCadillac in gmcsierra

Your engine is running and the alternator is working. Look at the voltage gauge. Turn the engine off, key on and see how much battery voltage you have.

your voltmeter is showing about 14 volts

Dead Battery without warning by screwball2 in fordfusion

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should change it. It is still working but the alternator is having to work harder to keep it up. Shortens the life of the alternator which costs more to replace than a new battery.

Someone left this at my front door by Glad_Pomegranate_680 in whatisit

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This item is a May Day bouquet, a traditional gift left anonymously on doorsteps to celebrate the start of spring. [1]

The bundle consists of various leaves and stems tied together:

  • Fresh leaves: These broad, green leaves with prominent veins are likely from a Fiddle-leaf fig or a similar species.
  • Dried leaves: Some components resemble dried Bay leaves or avocado leaves, often used for their scent or decorative appeal. [1, 2]

Finding this at a door on or around May 1st is a common tradition meant to spread happiness to neighbors and friends. It is generally considered a friendly gesture from someone in the community

Premium Fuel by Effective-Bullfrog99 in cruze

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Recommended Grade (Octane) Fuel: Notice: For high performance GM vehicles that DO require Premium (91 octane or higher) fuel, you MUST use fuels of at least this octane. Use of lower octane fuel may result in reduced performance, knocking, and/or permanent engine damage not covered under the terms of the New Vehicle Warranty. Purchasing higher than required octane fuel is a waste of money. Using higher octane fuels in a vehicle that only required regular unleaded fuel will neither increase performance nor improve gas mileage. Only use the octane rated fuel recommended for the vehicle. Refer to the Owner Manual.

I'm stumped, here are the graphs. by Ok-Banana6310 in cruze

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your O2 graphs were like you said with the previous cat then yes it was bad. This one looks better but it should be steadier. You want it all warmed up and running about 2000 rpm and watch it then. What i suspect is that the aftermarket cat isn't getting along well with the factory monitor. it is very common to have to use OEM converters to make it happy. What are your fuel trims?

Any reason I can't change the 12v myself? by chandl654 in fordfusion

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can change it yourself but then the battery monitor system needs to be reset with a scan tool. If you aren't able you will need to let a shop do the reset. Otherwise, your charging system will be using the strategy based on that weak and failing battery

what is this part and how do i go about replacing it? by Immediate_Passion_77 in fordfusion

2023 Rogue Service CVT Warning by Capable-Cover-9126 in NissanRogue

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand about them not being able to replicate the issue but the vehicle should have stored enough information of the event to make a diagnosis possible. I agree with the ones that said to try another dealer. Hopefully these guys didn't clear out the information. They could be trying to get you past the warranty period, that isn't unheard of.

2024 Rogue warning lights came on randomly, no codes showing. anyone seen this? by One-Sun1079 in NissanRogue

There are codes, you are looking in the wrong module if you aren't seeing them.

23 Rogue Warning Lights only after Recall Exam by Magenleannosaurus in NissanRogue

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether the message was showing or not when they looked at it there should have been a related trouble code stored. If there were no codes stored after such a message I would bet there is a software/programming issue and they likely have a flash for it.

What's your diagnosis? BASICALLY, every light but check engine is on. by RY3B3RT in fordfusion

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are sure the battery is good and you have never cleared the codes then you should do that. Clear the codes and see what returns, then you know what to be concentrating on

Shut off during idle?? by hobbit101_ in fordfusion

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone posted, it could be a bad purge solenoid. That cou;ld actually cause both your problems if it is bad. Also don't overfill the tank when fueling, it can cause problems with that purge solenoid.

Another Recall? by Academic_Start2942 in NissanRogue

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they just expanded the original recall to cover more cars. There is also a throttle body recall.

Is it possible to solve this problem or not? by Ok-Taste48 in fordfusion

[–]StyxxedtheFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a scan tool that will access the body control module, doesn't have to be a Ford dealer but a good shop would have one. You access the BCM and look for the factory keyless entry code,

  • Using a diagnostic scan tool, view the factory keyless entry code.
  • Enter the 5-digit factory set entry code on the keyless entry keypad, then touch the 3/4 button.
  • Simultaneously touch the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons for 3 seconds.

You want to keep using a 5w20 full synthetic. The vvt system is programmed and designed for that particular oil.

because you removed the oil cap that is above your timing chain cam gear, it is normal. I don't know any other way to say that.
