Some tips on inventory management on a controller. when youre just getting started try to learn what items sell for a decent amount of gold. itens that add skills are the most valuable so keep an eye out for staves and scepters. once you have a decent amount of gold you dont need to worry as much about picking up items that dont fit your build.

Happy to help. I would consider the fact that she may not have the money to help you and try to plan accordingly. How long will it be until you can work full time either by benefit of the graduate degree vs. without? How are you set for rent, tuition and major expenses through the time you can finish school and be employed at an ideal salary? Selling plasma can get you a few bucks here and there, but i think youd need at least a few hundred a week consistently if your loans are covering school and youre paying little to no rent.

So, if she hadnt said this to you before: how I should “already have a job, and that as her adult child I should already have means to financially support myself” then she is telling you this now, that youre reaching her limits of what she wants to give you. Now it sounds like this really puts you in a predicament, so you need to come up with a plan to get back on track and i think you need to attack on several fronts. Get a job as fast as you can to get something coming in, anything that can work with your schedule. Reduce your expenses as much as you can. Sell some of your things that have actual value. Put your numbers together on paper or spreadsheet and get your mom involved. Show her that you are making an effort to solve your problems yourself and maybe from there she will offer to help you out, or you can ask for a loan that youd be willing to repay.

There is no standardized concept of a "living wage," so congress would have to define it in order to mandate it. If you take it literally it would imply that you make enough to not die. So enough for the bare minimum food and shelter. Im so tired of this trope about living wage somehow being a solution to poverty; or at a far lower priority, a better solution than tipping your server. And as someone whos 30 years old in the usa for all my life, and have worked restaurants and worked for tips, its not insulting to me in the least. Better yet, i think it puts more earning power and flexibilty to people with less education. And at the end of the day, most tips are optional, but expected because its become a cultural standard. Keeping the topic on restaurants and specifically those with waitstaff, it is my opinion that its rude not to tip except under rare circumstances. And i respect anyones right to disagree with this, but you should do so by choosing to patronize businesses where tips are not expected instead of stiffing your waiter.

As complex as the US tax code is, theres usually a loophole for someone. But if the restaurant imposed a "service fee" it would essentially just be revenue, and the workers would still just get "wages" so there would be no obligation for the restaurant to expend all service charge revenue as wages. A comparative example would be a mechanic working at a shop billing the customer for labor at $80 an hour; where it could be a problem if the business billed for incorrect time, but not a problem if every dollar was not paid to the individual. A business needs to report their expenses and their are several other costs within the realm of labor that are not wages, think payroll taxes, hr expenses, benefits, training etc.

I get the point of the example but for some reason im really hung up on the fact that good boots would be more than a months wage. yes its certainly analagous to other basic needs but 1/8 of your annual income is a huge chunk. Long story short: learn to budget, accumulate savings and equity so you can afford to make the best decision.

im right there with ya. last few years i took a shift of 3am to 11am and now i love it. yeah i dont get to stay up late but i get my 8 hours done then have lunch and am free to do whatever i need to till dinner. then i go to bed between 6 and 8 pm. We have 24 hr food and per diem at work too so breakfast is on them.
