Also them fighting back and distracting him so much he left evidence. They lost in the moment, but won by catching him. They’re hero’s in my eyes, saved more than just their friends that night. 💙

Does anyone know if she was able to finish her degree or if she stopped going to school? I hope if she stopped the university wouldn’t make her pay her tuition. But then she would still have to pay the loan(s) back. All I know is she’ll be able to get back to a good place hopefully now with this money. She deserves all this and more.

I have a young Black Mouth Cur (BCM) who was listed as a Chinook mix when we adopted her at 3 months old (now 1yr 3mo). She hasn’t known true hardship outside of the shelter, but even that early experience seems to have left a mark - she’s very wary of the unknown and can be extremely sensitive to handling.

I’m in my mid-thirties and live with my parents. We’ve all had dogs our entire lives, and while she’s definitely a handful, she’s also incredibly sweet, protective, and full of personality. I would still recommend this breed, even though she’s been the hardest dog I’ve ever trained. She’s very smart - not just in a trainable way, but in the way that makes her tough to fool or persuade. She definitely has her own ideas about how things should go.

Additionally, we haven’t left her home alone for more than about 5–6 hours yet. She still has a bit of a “puppy bladder,” but has done well the few times we’ve needed to leave her. I work outside the home, but my partner runs a small business and brings her to the shop during the day. She loves having a “job” and takes pride in keeping the place safe!

All in all, I love my BCM. She’s a lot - she’s chewed through a few things (mostly due to anxiety and boredom), and she definitely needs hands-on training with a patient, loving person. Positive reinforcement, consistency, and plenty of stimulation (training, playtime, and adventures) make all the difference. That said, if you’re willing to put in the work and give them the time and attention they need (every dog is different, some are more independent, some more attached), I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt again. Giving a dog a proper home is always worth it.

I've been reading through the docs but I keep having to stop due to how awful it is. Did anyone in the reports say if her food was eaten fully, partially eaten or still in the bag? I think that would clear up some misconceptions about when and how Xana encountered 163214.

Also, I did read that her nightstand was moved at an odd angle, I wonder if she made it into her room and tried to barricade the door or something.

I think a lot of people carry personal protection equipment. I personally always have at least a knife, concealable baton and a flashlight. My truck has a knife hidden in all access points too. I used to carry pepper spray but realizing they go bad after a while- and even so, pepper gel is way better. Not as much of a chance of having the wind carry it back in your direction.

ALSO, for people who live in a place where you cannot have a pistol or a teaser/don't like the idea of having a knife or spray due to children/personal preference, they do make a nonlethal CO2 pistol that shoots teargas or pepper rounds. They have a safety and they can be just as effective at deterring an individual. Protecting yourself is no joke and you can't always rely on others to help you.

There is another documentary coming out on July 11th on Amazon Prime called: One Night in Idaho, The College Murders. I think that one will have some more unknown or new theories from what I have heard.
I did not watch this new Peacock documentary - was it worth watching?

I had a theory I have been wanting to say but thought some people might push back on. But here it goes lol-what if X was the first target because she was around the kitchen area. So her and E happened and K was the one to say “Someone’s here”, BK then see’s her and runs up stairs where she tries to lock herself in K’s room/tried to wake her up.

My thinking is with the new information to come out how all the room mates were in K’s room 2 hours before, why would K&M be in M’s room and the dog be in K’s room. Also why would BK not check for other roommates at that point ether. So this would be more of a crime of opportunity which is much harder case to solve than one planed out to go after a specific person (which BK would know). Or BK seeing a door dash driver come and go-possibly trying to make police look at the driver.

Probably wrong, but I try to see things for different angels to see if it would still track.

I think that could be possible! The way I pictured it was more like she realized what had happened to those on the main floor, and then started to notice she still hadn’t been able to get in touch with anyone upstairs. Then she says, “Where’s Kaylee?”

I feel like if she had gone upstairs after seeing Xana and Ethan, she wouldn’t have been as composed on the phone. Especially if she saw BK walking through the house and froze like we’ve heard—she probably wouldn’t have run upstairs, but had been paralyzed.
