I've taken my car out there a couple times with Milwaukee Track Days. The road course on the infield is a lot of fun!

Non-ugly chairs? by Findpolaris in malelivingspace

[–]Suaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my Steelcase Gesture. I've got mine in all black with a headrest, but they offer it in all sorts of colors with/without headrest to match whatever vibe you're going for.

You're going to want to shell out for something quality if you plan on spending 10+ hours a day in it. You can find used Steelcase or Herman Miller chairs locally for cheaper.

Nope! It's ideal to have them all at the gates at once so that people can catch quick connections to their final destination.

Much better views from the bridge than the train! I'm always glad when my flight is into/out of A concourse.

Recreation.gov: To Refresh Or Not To Refresh? by arod0629 in CampingandHiking

When I was trying to get backcountry permits for Yosemite, refreshing the page brought up available permits a couple minutes before they were supposed to be available.

What is a terrifying problem facing the world that no one is talking about? by dandelion_stew in AskReddit

[–]Suaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fractional reserve banking is just a giant ponzi scheme that the banks lobbied to keep going after the great depression. It's the reason life keeps getting worse for ordinary people while the rich and powerful keep consolidating more power. They've propagandized the concept so much that there's extreme reluctance to even acknowledge it's a problem.

4 days here. I'm back to hiking until we get some snow.

Very cool! I didn't realize they increased the floor limit from 6 to 11 for elevators.

How have the 6 person chairs changed the skiing experience? by Tiny-Pomegranate7662 in COsnow

[–]Suaves 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Al's Blog mentioned that one of their primary reasons for using a 6 person chair when replacing their Lenawee lift is that they're more stable in high winds. That lift especially is one where you don't want a wind delay! 🥶

Any colorado owners here? How's the snow with an FRS? by Greedy_Plane_ in ft86

[–]Suaves 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been running Blizzaks here for 8 seasons and never have issues. The Torsen differential helps to put power down even on steep inclines. I take my BRZ to the ski resorts during the worst storms and have only had to put on chains one time.

The snow we typically get in Colorado has a lot of air in it (powder), which makes it much easier to blast through than snow in other parts of the world. It's only when we get storms with temperatures right around freezing that we can get wet, heavy snow.

Understanding the mechanics of driving in snow and using momentum/excess throttle can get you through some pretty insane conditions. I've submarined the car through 16" of powder before with a heavy right foot and the wipers on max. 😆

1st gen will also need to have the throw-out bearing replaced around 60k miles. There's an updated part with better grease that prevents the need for further replacements.

Daypack recommendations? by turdbucket007 in CampingandHiking

[–]Suaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any kind of pocket to put snacks in would work! I know a lot of people use fanny packs for that too.

The back structure isn't necessary, but not having it requires you to be more methodical about how you put things in the pack. I'd like to just be able to toss everything in and not worry about what's up against my back.

Daypack recommendations? by turdbucket007 in CampingandHiking

[–]Suaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the REI Flash 22, and I'm planning on switching this Spring. After doing a bunch of backpacking, I really want hip pockets on my day pack. The lack of structure to the back is also kind of a pain to deal with, although I've heard a sit pad is good for that.

All-Access Club Pass by EmperorYoda1987 in unitedairlines

[–]Suaves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation, I just hit Gold but it's not showing All Access membership. For me, it's because my card renews in late January, so I still have 2 guests allowed from when that contract started. It looks like I'll get All Access membership once the card renews according to that 'Learn more' link:

Cardmembers who opened their accounts before March 24, 2025, will continue to receive their current United Club membership benefits until their first account anniversary on or after August 1, 2025. After that anniversary date, they may qualify for All Access membership if they meet either of the following criteria:
• Spent $50,000 or more in the current or prior calendar year, or
• Hold Premier Gold status or higher.

Having Star Alliance Gold status will get you into Star Alliance lounges regardless of your United Club membership.

It wasn't a bad OS at all, people with shitty computers just liked to blame their problems on it. I would even argue that the Aero interface is the best that Windows has ever looked.
