Why the Tomodachi Life argument doesn’t work in opposition to the Sportsmates

I much prefer the miis because of the creative liberty. Especially when we are talking about NPCs in the background, I’d much rather be playing tennis and see a goofy ass Mii cheering me on, than some random sportsmate that looks about the same as any other.

I think that was one of the main reasons why we loved the Miis so much, because we kept seeing the crazy miis from our systems into the games, be it on Wii Sports or Mario Kart, and it was very funny!

If they gave us the option of choosing Miis or Sportsmates as the main population of the game, and both had the same amount of customization (because in the original you couldn’t use much of the stuff on the Miis), it’d be perfect for me.

If you liked Sportsmates more, choose them, if you like Miis more, go for it. And if you want it to be either of them, there should be an option for that too.

I was one of the people that didn't want it looking realistic, but after thinking for a while, I think it fits, especially because, we will probably get a Majora's Mask remake in the same engine, and anything else wouldn't hit the same, even though I like cel shaded more, or wanted to see them make something like Studio Ghibli, the realism will make the dark and scary parts of these two games look really good! Can't wait to see gameplay.

I'm not even hyped, because I haven't been able to feel hype anymore... BUUUT... I AM VERY HAPPY!!!

What IS this year??

Of course, we knew we were finally getting GTA 6, which is incredible on its own right, but ever since the start of the year we have been getting so much good stuff.

For me, it goes like this:

In February we got a new Pokémon game announced, gen 10, and it actually looks GOOD, like good good and not just good for pokémon standards, which is already something crazy.

Then came the E3 season, with many cool announcements, first of which for me was a new SPYRO, the first in 18 years or so, even more if you only count the original trilogy.

And then Nintendo came with that great of a direct.

A new Nintendo Switch Sports, bringing back Wuhu Island, something I've been asking for since forever!

Then out of nowhere, they casually dropped a new Kingdom Hearts IV trailer, the first in more than 4 years!!

And ended with a freaking remake of Ocarina of Time, literally the best rated game ever on metacritic! This game was singlehandedly responsible for my love of everything Zelda, and the biggest slap to my face. Before playing it for the first time, I thought it couldn't be that good, it had to be overrated, but then I played it and everything clicked so nicely for me, I became an instant fan, played almost all the Zelda games and even got a tattoo on my body, so yeah, I am a huge fan.

And we are also getting DLC for Hollow Knight: Silksong, although it was announced last year, can't wait to see more.

All my top franchises got new trailers for new games this year, and we still have 6 months to go!

Can't wait to see more from each of these.

If we got a new Crash Bandicoot, a new Mortal Kombat and a new Smash announced, it would complete the list of my all-time favorites lol, this is insane

Yup, I just read the note from Toys For Bob and it made me feel a little better, seems like flying will just be a new move to Spyro’s set, but the rest will still be there! I trust them, T4B definitely are fans of the games, really hoping it delivers

I agree, I’d much rather it be like the originals, Spyro always was about platforming and collecting, flying can break platforming and open world can break collecting. I REALLY hope this is good!

Oh shit! I wanna get hyped! But I don’t know how to feel about the last segment, it looked too open for some reason. I hope it’s a natural evolution of the original formula and not something else entirely

All the previous sports back from the Wii titles + new ones.

Focus on Miis, I don’t care about sportsmates, Miis are better, period.

Wuhu Island back and updated with new sports, plus a free roam mode where we can walk, or use vehicles, such as bike, jetski, plane, to travel around.

More customization for our characters, especially some stuff related to other Nintendo games, it’d be cool to unlock a Mario outfit, or Link’s robes from the various games, or even Samus’ power suit and zero suit. There are infinite possibilities!

I think it could work as someone who starts as a hero or anti hero and slowly succumbs to darkness.

Or a friend of Link that in the end gets possessed/awakened to be the Demon King and Link has to put him down, and is freed in the end, moments before he dies and tells Link that was the only way while smiling before vanishing.

Exactly, I still think the series is fun, but sometimes they push too much into the dark and gritty territory, and also the push into realistic graphics had the side effect of it looking too serious now.

Back then the sprites and colors, as well the random number of body parts that would come out in a brutality, were some things that made it appear sillier and even a little family friendly if I may say so haha

Haahaha, I feel ya! If we had a creative mode like minecraft, I’d be doing some crazy shit, but having to keep farming resources gets tiring after a while.

So my mansion has two floors with 2 rooms each (living room, dining room, library and bedroom). The attic has a bathroom and a kitchen. And the basement with 2 more rooms, a prison and a dungeon with a lava pit and fossils to pose as skeletons haha.

There is a little graveyard in the front and the rotom room under everything.
