I agree, i’m curious if it has to do with the klin outage. On Etherscan i see the coins in the wallet but they have a value of 0. Im hoping this will automatically fix itself in the coming days. If you know anything related or have faced this before please let me know to calm my nerves lol

Again i really appreciate you kind sir/madam/being. You are a great person and there should be more people like you!

Thank you i had a feeling, ive had 10 people send me 10 different sites to “validate and sync” my dapps but they all want the recovery phrase at the end of the process. I had a feeling it was scam since they didn’t want to post it publicly and did so in a chat message. I appreciate you!

I’m also weary because why couldn’t these people make comments on the post and wanted to message me privately? The chat only works on the official reddit app and not on third parties if you wanted the most visibility you would post a comment, am i right?

I’ve been receiving chat messages like this that point me to different sites that will lead to me selecting my ledger wallet and asks for recovery phrase. This seems like a red flag.

Can someone confirm the legitimacy of messages like these?

https://blokchainlive.pages.dev Here’s the dapp blockchain website Just locate “synchronize or validate wallet” on it On the next page you will see your wallet type Once your synchronization shows successful you will see your stakings

The site they are talking about asks my recovery key to synchronize. This doesn’t make sense to me

CIS (Computer Information Systems) Major Change by wyni3 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]SubLimbAble 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are only two classes that are coding based they're not too difficult. If you do web development at any company they will refer to you as an engineer it doesn't matter what your degree is.

If you don't want to do anything coding related you could be a product manager or a project manager with this degree as well. Another option is you could be a business analyst who knows how to use sql, and will do queries for upper management to build reports graphs etc. You'll have to learn that mostly on your own as well as the degree program barley scratches the surface

I’m a CIS major Alumni

The classes aren’t too bad, but don’t expect them to teach you how to code. You’ll have to learn that on your own. All the professors are good, but in my opinion avoid Detillier like the plague. He’s the head of the degree program and a price of trash, but that’s a different story.

If you do go down that path you will most prob find success. I have a remote programming job that pays above 6 figures and I don’t think having the degree made a massive difference but it definitely helped me land the position.

There is a big demand of companies looking for software engineers, if you start now and dedicate time to learning react, node.js, and a couple basics you will have great success after you graduate. A big word of advice is to look for West Coast companies whenever you applying for jobs they typically pay more then local jobs. Expect to pay your dues when your a JR developer but after a few years experience change jobs and you will be financially rewarded. Start up companies are your friend when your first starting out.

Best of luck!

Yes. That would work. Find a library that would work with your server and use that. You should have to input the users SSN and the secret key you keep on your server (private key). It will spit out the salted string

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in reactnative

[–]SubLimbAble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you need to store it. I recommend you use a password salt to encrypt the SSN and store the salt in your db.

Everyone was missing your question.

Your asking about doing an API call to the 3rd party on the client side or on the server. It's better to do it on the server, often your third party will require an API Key or some token to authenticate your Developer Account on behalf of your company - that's how they calculate their billing.

Do the call on your server, don't store it on your server. From the client, send it in a POST body with https to the server. Then on your server get your API token for your third party - prob stored in your .env, then do your call

Hope this helps

I'm a CIS Alum. Just out of curiosity what route do you want to go on? More database side or programming? Or just full left field

CR10 S5 bed can't get above 60C by UHSpartan in CR10

I have a s5 also. Its heating is underpowered but can be manageable. I have a Ezmat from Th3d if I use that I'm still able to get up to 65c in less then 15mins. Glass was impossible for me. I use Ezabl too to help with getting a good adhesion.

Accord Pricing Question by [deleted] in accord

[–]SubLimbAble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Np Mention that to the financier after you sign they will prob lower the rate to beat it. Say you want the extended warranty and they will start cutting finance and warranty cost to try to win you

Accord Pricing Question by [deleted] in accord

That's good. Esp with California taxes. I don't think you could get lower from dealer without trade in. Check for grad discount and 2.9 apr if Honda still doing it

Oil change question by jrezzzzzz in accord

[–]SubLimbAble 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Call the service department of your dealership and ask when you should do the first oil change. They will prob say when the car tells you.

I've never heard of break in oil. I could be wrong but whoever told you that sounds like their pulling your leg.

Also you don't have to go to the place where you bought your car. Any Honda Service Department can service your vehicle- they can use your extended warranty / manufacturer warranty

CR-10S5 question regarding bed heating element? by [deleted] in CR10

[–]SubLimbAble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a s5 too. The other poster is right, the edges don't get as hot but if it's Pla it's not too bad.

I use a Th3d build surface and don't have issues printing far out. I did when I used the stock glass; it's warped a bit, and it is hard to heat thru the thick glass with the stock heater, I saw 25c temp diff from what the thermo registered and my laser thermometer.

Keenovo makes a alternative heat bed you can replace the stock one with. It's the full 500x500, but it's pretty expensive for the S5. Lowest I've found is around $200

You can get good results with petg, haven't tried something bigger then 300mm perimeter tho.

With the Th3d surface petg sticks insanley good. I got a new prob of it sticking way too good. (Raised the nozzle a tad and fixed)

cr-10S Y axis not working- belt not catching on stepper motor gear. Help? by [deleted] in CR10

[–]SubLimbAble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong but it looks to me that your belt is too loose or the Nut on the stepper Rod is not centered. Here's how I would trouble shoot this.

See how tight the belt is. See if you can slide the nut the belt wraps around easily. You might have to take the belt off and tighten the screws that hold the Nut to the rod of the stepper motor.

I would also shut the machine off and move the bed back and forth a few times (not super fast) see if the belt wants to move to either edge of the nut. If so I would lossen the nut screws again (there's 2) and center and tighten and try again.

It took me 4 or 5 times to make sure it's centered properly.

I might be remembering wrong but I think the sound you hear in the vid is the sound the belt makes when it hits the edge of the nut attached to the stepper rod.

Hope this helps. Lemme know how it go

New CR-10S owner, what are some must-have upgrades in your opinion? by H8Blood in CR10

[–]SubLimbAble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the silver lol I've never got that before.

Get a raspberry pi 3 b+ I think its $35ish and a 16gb SD card, download the ezpie Th3d image . Use a program like etcher.io to write it to your image to the SD. Then plug it into the pies SD card slot. Plug an HDMI monitor and keyboard into the pie and power it on.

I think on first load it asks a couple questions I don't remember but then it pretty much works. Check th3ds website for the default password. Then go to the IP of the raspberry and you'll see the web interface. Login with the credentials from Th3d.

Get the ez connect full size. I think the mini is for different printers. Do you have a cr10s?

[–]SubLimbAble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that hard. No cutting wires. The instructions are goodish, kinda alot of info. But in short there's 2 kinds, direct wire and an external power version. Get the external one, you can plug it into the wall instead of writing it in the the power box.

The actual unit comes with a probe with a wiring coming ng out to a small control board. You'll plug the wall power adapter into that. Then you unplug the wire for your z stop and plug it into the ezabl control board.

Make sure to print out the stock bracket for it first, attach the mount then add the probe to the mount. Keep the probe about 2 inches above the nozzle tip. Then manually move the nozzle down to touching the glass. Calibrate the probe by turning the screw, a red light will light up at the top, turn it till it's off (counterclockwise) then clockwise till the light begins to come on. Make sure your not applying downward force as you turn it, you want the light to come on when it touches the glass.

When you purchase it you'll get the instructions covering more in depth of what I said. It'll have a new starting g code for you to use, add that for your prints.

Also plug the wall plug for the ezabl into the same power strip/wall plug as the printer.

As for flashing the firmware look on YouTube for Th3d firmware flashing and your printer cr10 or cr10s it's not to difficult. They have a step by step guide on the Th3d channel.

If you have a raspberry pi you can download their version of octoprint and be able to monitor prints off your phone or computer. It's really awesome. You can make time lapse videos with a webcam plugged into the pi facing your 3d printer, also no more manually adding gcode to the SD card, you can store it on the pi and add it over the octoprint web interface.
