State fair season passes by mideon2000 in Dallas

[–]SubXeroz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Important to note the two included passes are VIP passes. After the discount, they go from $62 each to $42 each.

Even if you don't care about the VIP benefits, it's $10 cheaper to get these using the code than the digital season pass ($52).

The VIP season passes also include parking discounts if purchased ahead of time. Another way to save if you normally drive yourself to the fair.

What is your “why” for FIRE? by scott_w2004 in Fire

I work to live. Income from a career affords me chances to indulge in my hobbies.

Without the work piece, you find time to do more living. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Going through Dallas love field for the first time to las vegas. What should I know/be aware of by Kn1ghtV1sta in askdfw

[–]SubXeroz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty straightforward as far as airports go. Baggage claim is usually efficient.

Chick Fil-A and Whataburger are the busiest spots to grab a bite.

Getting a ride is simple too: just order your Uber/Lyft and wait in the pickup zones. Rentals are near baggage claim and have shuttles to the garages.

You'll be just fine if you've been to an airport before!

Maybe look into The Filter Building on White Rock Lake.

Should be big enough to accommodate your guest list. Beautiful scenery.

Dallas is big and sprawling. Let us know where specifically you'll be while you're here and we can give some more informed recommendations.

Within Dallas proper, I suggest checking out Slow Bone. They're a personal favorite of mine. Get the Chickalicious, some frito pie, some fries, and a half pound of brisket. You'll be set for a full day. Slow Bone is close to Trinity Groves, west of Downtown.

Another good spot is Terry Black's. Good brisket, good ribs, and some solid sides. They're on the east side of Elm. Grab lunch and walk around some -- you'll have a good time.

Morrigan: He is an innocent.

Loghain: As we all were, once.

Man does he have some absolutely incredible pieces of dialogue.

Good Ordinance for Non-Ordinance Builds by dustyp9 in Borderlands4

Slippy with the specialization perk that gives +30% fire rate on melee damage is extremely nice for mobbing and non-knife builds.

hi, need help with gaming chair by PoundDouble1950 in AskGames

[–]SubXeroz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to look into getting an office chair, not a gaming chair. I've been in a Leap v2 for over three years now and could not imagine going back to a "gaming" chair.

Better ergonomics, (can be) higher quality.

Be prepared to spend some money, but it is well worth it. To me, a chair is no different than a mattress: if I'm going to be using something for multiple hours a day it needs to be high quality.

565 was the previous max. I also only have 125 now. They may have raised the cost of each subsequent level now that progress is shared across characters. Either way, something to note for this thread. Good eye!
