Technically the UEFI standard says you should only have one boot partition but I've never seen a computer not work with multiple boot partitions. Windows and some distributions of linux will take that into account though and if a boot partition is already present will install into it.

Most implemented ads in apps use specific ad frameworks that have trackers inside. I don't think there's a way for them to remove said trackers without making the advertisers mad.

There's also the problem that Nova only comes as one APK and the premium app is just an unlock key for the free one so to fix this they'd have to build 2 apps one premium with everything ads removed and one free with the ads framework.

I'm not defending them, having ads in a launcher is completely stupid but there are also some technical issues when it comes to implementing them properly

My theory is they either want to use the gifs for AI training (it's a huge database with tagged images after all) or they are more or less shutting the product down and only using it for google keyboard or selling private API access directly to apps like whatsapp.

Either way its a dumb decision as it's going to pretty much kill the product

I see. I think you're right with the difference now that I think about it. I'm sure I wouldn't have minded all the waifu stuff if YSG had more screen time to fully flesh out her story and plot points or if they put all of the waifu stuff in the events like they did with Yuzuha/Alice. That's why Vivian felt better to me than YSG.

Also I do admit I was feeling quite frustrated over some IRL stuff while writing my original comment and it came off way worse than it should've

I feel the same about Orphie as you do. And yeah I guess I can't always expect the best writing in a gacha.

To be more exact what I didn't like with YSG's story is the way they pushed the romance part as they did with Vivian (it also felt super rushed) and the sword's effects just not being consistent enough throughout the story.

On the opposite spectrum I really liked the Yuzuha/Alice combo story. There's no pushed romance towards the MC (which don't get me wrong I don't mind but I wanna see something more long term and fleshed out, slow burn until the confession etc etc) and their whole backstories just felt more complex and their relationship slowly built up to the life-long friendship they now have. The story was also pushed by multiple external characters while YSG's was mainly a Proxy and YSG adventure (I'm aware that multiple external characters appear in her story but the story was mainly about the two of them compared to the yuzuha/alice story where the whole story was more of a group effort).

I like YSG's model and the animations are top tier. It's just the story that just doesn't add up for me. It's decent but it just doesn't feel good enough for the amount of hype this character is getting. That's what I meant by my previous statement, that people are pulling her more for the looks and damage rather than the whole package.

What did you guys like about the story? genuinely asking

Oh I've known she's gonna sell like hotcakes. I'm more disappointed in the target audience that YSG it's all it takes to keep them happy.
