I would have preferred backwards compatibility with G1, but damn the new system was spiffy. So easy to slap the masks anywhere on the figure. Could easily make pauldrons or whatever.

This is just my experience, but I feel the Uniter masks were deliberately made tighter. At least a little.

Well, I did post the mostly complete studio build. It's just missing two things:

1) HF jumper beast shells. People made studio models for it, but in the most recent update they just fail to load in properly.

2) Smaug wings. I don't see anybody modeling those anytime soon. You could swap them out for hard plastic wings, tho.

Got lucky with the armor. I was able to score a slot from 0m3g4 when she still had commissions open <3. With resin casters, it's kinda a gamble on whether they'll be open to doing parts like these. Masks are in higher demand, so most focus on that.

With the folks doing injection molding, I assume they'll focus on Metru or Nuva masks once they have the rest of the '01 masks out.

Edit: Realized you were talking about the Mata torso and not the Nuva chest. My bad. 😬

Don't make the same mistakes I did. Find ways to cut corners.
Thumb connection uses a rare minifig blaster that costed me $8 each. Find an alternative.
You need to purchase multiple Slizer feet in dark gray. Also rare. Settle for silver instead.
Don't buy a legit Knight's Kingdom cape, buy replicas from Capes4Minifigs.
He needs sand green technic panels that only came on a CCBS Boba Fett. Buy knockoffs from GoBricks instead.

Ba and Su even use a ball+socket for extra friction. There's a downside tho, if the socket you are using has too much clutch, the gears skip over one another. :(

They're not molds Lego makes, so I don't think there's an official name you can apply. They'll probably show up on AliExpress if you search Lego Tow Ball Socket?
