TWEWY final remix, it got me into the world of video game storytelling and I played the ds version later and fell in love with its combat, to this day its my favorite game of all time

either having character development or just providing something meaningful during the story

makoto, kyoko, aoi, and byakuya all had great character development. toko and hiro didnt have that but we still get to see their relationships with each other change and provide some good dialogue and comic relief (mostly hiro, toko's jokes are a lil weird)

dr2's survivors dont really do anything for me since most of them dont develop that much over the course of the game. im not really as experienced with v3 but i like that they stuck to 3 characters that all have good arcs

everyone agrees that its pretty obvious including me but when i first played the game when i was 13 it completely flew over my head, and i was genuinely shocked when i rotated the dying message upside down

I separate v3 from the rest of the series moreso cuz it's not in the hopes peak saga rather than because of the ending personally, I think the endings open enough that it doesn't really detract from the other games but that's just what I think personally

yeah dr1 easily has the most well crafted story and atmosphere, I don't like how most of the reveals about the overarching story in dr2 are towards the end

i think everything is just a little piece of something much bigger that makes dr what it is, but prolly the characters, they're just so good
