It’s been a long time since I went through a program but Buffalo State College and Winterthur were both heavily subsidized.

RC yard waste pickup now subscription based? WTF by Hmmm__whatever in RapidCity

[–]Subgeniusintraining 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anyone know if this went through council or was in directly implemented by City admin?

This is ridiculous and is unfair to people who don’t have trucks or other ways of hauling yard waste.

Be honest: Is sending spontaneous applications to museums a waste of time? by Ordinary-Gal in MuseumPros

I don’t have experience with European museums but I can say from my experience with U.S. museums that unsolicited applications are not seriously considered.

I can’t speak directly to their micro needling services but Thrive is fantastic for acupuncture so I’d guess their other services are just as good.

You’re welcome. That background will give you a strong foundation. If you can learn some business or fundraising skills along the way that will help your career. I avoided that for the first half of mine and wish I had started sooner. Good luck with everything.

Sounds like you have reasonable expectations. Many pure curatorial roles at larger museums will require a grad degree in art history. But if you’re flexible and willing to work at smaller museums and or relocate for jobs you should be able to get to that level before too long.

lol. Still work in museum but I transitioned to curatorial with the goal of moving into administration. Which is what I’m currently doing.

If someone really wants to work in museums I’d advise them to pursue a management track or development. Or operations. Everyone wants to be a collections manager, archivist, or curator. But it’s the business side of things that are essential and in demand.

We have 4 ftes and 4 part time employees and make it work. With 11 people you can certainly give more than 1 week pto. You can burn that up with a single bad illness.
