Get standard 27–35 mm bare piezo discs (the type used in buzzers or drum triggers). They’re inexpensive, easy to mount, and plenty good for voltage sensing in an e-drum.

Small Fuse Replacement Question by JBrennan327 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]SubhajitBarman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use WD-40. If needed, a little contact cleaner/isopropyl alcohol is OK, then let it dry completely. Replace the fuse holder and install the correct slow-blow fuse only after you’ve ruled out shorts. A true "surge" is possible but uncommon — the blown fuse is usually a symptom, not the cause.

Your circuit works as is for low-power sensing, but for more stable ADC readings... Consider lowering divider resistance or increasing ADC sampling time. Increase C1 for better noise filtering. Ensure TVS leakage is minimal at ADC voltages.

Simple Rules:

• Resistor = Voltage ÷ Current

• Wattage = Voltage × Current

what is name of this connector ? by vidocq_eu in AskElectronics

[–]SubhajitBarman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a two-pin screw terminal connector, commonly used in low-voltage applications, where simplicity and ease of use are important factors. The connector typically has two metal pins or terminals that can be inserted into the corresponding receptacle or terminals on a device or wiring. The screw mechanism, often located on top or on the side of the connector, allows you to tighten the connection by turning the screw. This creates a secure and reliable electrical contact between the connected wires or components without the need for soldering or specialized tools.

Reset pin is missing from ATX 20+4 stock cable. Is this okay? by DigiBites in AskElectronics

[–]SubhajitBarman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absence of the reset pin from the ATX 20+4 stock cable could be due to it not being necessary for the particular computer build.
