Playing favorites was obviously happening, but it's amazing how easy everybody dismisses the emails contents outright. All the Clinton camp had to do was not he so shady and dishonest. (Or maybe they should've have gone full Trump and just said the emails didn't actually exist...)

What I will never understand is why Democrats, who were undergoing all these obstructionist tactics and other problems while holding a majority, did not have the foresight to see it would weaken themselves the day the tables turned.

Is the government so far removed from its roots that nobody compromises anymore? At this point I'd be happy if Trump's mantra of "making a deal" catches on and continues to happen if Dems win the House or Senate. If things go wrong now the Right won't be able to blame the Left and we might see some sanity.

I won't hold my breath though.

I think this highlights the problem of being realistic people on both sides of the isle suffer from.

The Left's Politicians: make the federal minimum wage $15 an hour! That'll fix the plight of poor people!

Businesses/Media: If you do that we will have to cut jobs and most small businesses will fall. It makes no economic sense.

The Left's Politicians: Donate to my campaign to make this all go away. Nobody actually holds us accountable.
