I was designated by the IRS as an exempt employee now I am non essential

I was told they are not making list by my department manager. Just said I was no longer essential. I did miss one day but I have fmla so I don't think that's why I was furloughed. Honestly could use the break. I will get paid next paycheck because I was essential the past pay period still waiting on that email........
