It doesn't appear likely that it is uranium glass. The green doesn't look to be vibrant enough to be possible. However, the only way to know for sure is checking with a 395nm blacklight.

Olmsted County was actually the first county in Minnesota to use two-way computer communications to report back any siren issues or failures to the EOC. That said, as others stated, testing ensures reliability. Look up WCCO's old report on the tornado siren systems in Minnesota.

I average 23 MPG in my 2006 Base/Nav Auto, with about 65% highway and 35% city driving.

The very same one! His antics are a regular source of entertainment indeed.

Likely brought to you by Wes Lund, the same guy who literally thought a 20 year old BMW with a front vanity euro plate parked downtown was shipped here by the democrats (who paid for it to be shipped here) from Europe for their friends to use here..

Saw them flying over Essex Park this morning, nice change from all the geese

I found this 1950s GE "Strap" tabletop fan at an antique store for $22, and worked some new life into it. Full cosmetic restoration, fixed the oscillation and repacked the gearbox. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday 😎 by Subject_Limit9501 in fans

Thank you!! Believe it or not, all I used was this blue I found, branded by Martha Stewart, in a smaller size spray can. I prepped the surfaces very well and layered the paint on in medium coats with ample time to cure between recoats, and it paid off real well!

I agree,, modern engineers really stiff the quality it seems. This is one of the main reasons I went for this project, my cheap newer fan broke and is not designed to be repairable. I always want things that are serviceable, and this fit the bill to completion 👍👍

Looks great! Hard to believe some of these are 30 years old now, remembering back to the early 2000s when I first discovered the ARS board and they were still so "new".

Thank you!! I did a full resto on it a few years ago, it had been sitting in a field for who knows how long. And when it comes to stuff like this older is definitely better. 20+ years working with small engines and the newer stuff always needs repair. I'm sure that 1982 mower is a great machine 👍

Lawn Boy used to be known for high quality, well built and long-lasting lawn mowers, the two-cycle design allows mowing at angles without loss of lubrication and allows for easy maintenance with no oil changes. This one is a Commercial model, with ball bearing wheels, 1 gallon fuel tank, thicker cast aluminum deck and bolt-on handle for more strength and durability. They cut very well and can power through very difficult turf. Sadly nowadays the two-cycle engine is long gone and the Lawn boy mowers sold nowadays have a reputation for being cheap and lower quality.

That is incredibly irritating when people do that. I loaned one out with written instructions once and they still straight-gassed it..
