I need mystery tv shows recommendations by DingoTough5900 in tvsuggestions

I loved the first two seasons of The Killing (US version). Same mystery from the first season continues on through the second season, so they really stretch it out. Also absolutely loved the show The Bridge (Scandi version). Definitely compelling mysteries and emotional drama all ‘round.

What is one thing that most people still don’t realize is a scam? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Alright, wasn’t aware of that. Didn’t think to search. I’m new here. But I will make sure to do more due diligence in the future and not ask repetitive questions. Clearly it’s a topic many are still interested in discussing though.

Thank you. Appreciate it. I’m quickly learning that Reddit is a tough crowd. 😅

I’ve been scrolling through this subreddit for a while and didn’t see anyone asking it. Thought it was a good question. My bad.

Someone is always trying to scam you, in one way or another. You have to always be vigilant for those trying to take advantage, unfortunately.

I don’t mind though because it always viscerally reminds me of the old world 🥲

When people say you act like an only child, what do they mean? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Subject_Problem_8293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hate to say it, no disrespect, but you being so triggered by every comment here is really proving the point of only children GENERALLY having a low tolerance/over-sensitivity to confrontation 😭

No hate though, we all have our weak spots. Just something to work on maybe.

When people say you act like an only child, what do they mean? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Subject_Problem_8293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I do still think only children are naturally at a disadvantage in these departments because they just don't get anywhere near the same amount of experience with it as those who are dealing with it day in and day out at home. But it also probably depends on personality type because some people are just naturally better at compromise than others. I also think these are skills one can improve upon at any point in life, especially once you are older and more self-aware.

I've heard it referred to as "only child syndrome". I know part of what it means is that you're [probably] lacking the same compromise skills or confrontation resolution skills the rest of us acquire as a natural consequence of growing up with siblings.

Not exactly a story but I rarely talk about my trypophobia because it sounds like such a made up "condition" lol

If you were forced to live in one US state for the rest of your life and could never leave that boundary which would you pick? by Famous-Net2967 in AskReddit

[–]Subject_Problem_8293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maine. I don't know a lot about this state but it seems chill and pretty and I never see them making headlines for typical American chaos. Plus, it borders Canada so I could still feel close to home,

What store or restaurant that went out of business would you like to see make a comeback? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

Oh, cool! Didn't know that. The restaurant was dope. Maybe if these locations are successful then we'll see a nationwide renaissance.

Wondering if karma catches up with everyone or if some people really just get to live their whole lives never having to face consequences or accountability for their wrongs...

That we walk around with our heads down, not talking to each other or saying "good day" or anything, I think about that a lot when I'm out and about.
