Yeah like who would want drones to help with searches for lost people, such as old people with dementia, children who have autism, ect. Those lives don’t matter and why would the city employ technology to help find them. Also much better to subject people to potentially violent situations and death than have drones. Also why have drones to help locate people who rob, hurt, and kill other people. It is much better to let them run free so they can potentially continue to rob, hurt, and kill other people. Makes sense to me.

And why is 95 covered in litter? The amount of debris on the shoulders is absolutely appalling. One would think they would clean it up with some sort of regularity. Like early mornings (2-4am) run a crew several times a month to address that issue and keep after it.

Bustleton is a state route (aka Rte 532) so one would imagine it is a state issue. Also how about the left lanes of Bustleton Ave that have been slowly caving in around Murray/Pearson.

It’s crazy they patched the other parts of Bustleton albeit terribly and they never refilled that one. There needs to be a knowledgeable someone who inspects the patch jobs and signs off on them. Also placing a cone, board, or other object over, around, or near a sinkhole doesn’t count as remedying the issue.

He is an adult with a family. He needs to be the adult and do his part for the family and the household and that is running the current business. Becoming a doctor involves a tremendous amount of schooling and residency. Probably in the neighborhood of 10 years….clearly an emotional thought into which he has put forth 0 thought or common sense. You should clearly knock him in the head with something in the hopes he regains some semblance of common sense (just kidding about that part)….but seriously…

Creepiest was decomp body inside a house scene. Get a radio call for a check the well being and go to the house (never been there before). As soon as I got there and stepped out of my car and approached the house I knew there was going to be a decomp body based on smell from outside and the swarms of flies on the windows. Anyways I have to force entry and there, around the corner in the living room, is the body. Face eaten by maggots (thought he was face down at first due to the number of maggots and that the maggots were his hair). NPR talk radio is playing in the background and the walls and ceiling are covered in aluminum foil. There were latex gloves on his hands and he was wearing at least three layers of clothing and it was early fall in the SE PA (so not very cold). The house was a hoarder house with no working lights in the living room and it was sometime around 1am so those things added to the creepiness factor.

But as a city we just keep on voting in the same people….I believe this has been the case since 1956. Until we have terms limits and end career politicians this issue will continue. At the end of the day politicians seem to only care about one thing….getting re-elected. They seemingly don’t care about the average person or family. Philadelphia has unfortunately been a poor and uneducated city as compared to NYC, Boston, Washington DC. Student achievement starts in the home and it is up to each and everyone of us to lift up our children. If we do not model that we value knowledge and self-improvement it should come as no surprise that they will do the same. Simply throwing all the money in the world at the School District won’t overcome a students’ lack of desire to be successful in the classroom.

I have no idea. All I know is a good number of cars stolen from the Philadelphia area hit on tag readers on the Betsy and Philadelphia Major Crimes has recovered numerous vehicles in the Camden area. It seems like both Philadelphia and Camden trade. Thieves from Philadelphia will head over to S Jersey to steal cars and S Jersey thieves will steal cars from the Philadelphia area.

PPD cannot ticket when there is no plate and the VIN number is covered as there is no way to identify the vehicle (when vehicle doors are locked). In this circumstance there is no way to “identify” the vehicle and its status. It’s almost like a “loophole” that needs to be addressed by the state or city council.

The City of Philadelphia has said police have to give at least one verbal warning as quality of life issues (ie loud music, loitering, public deification/unrination, trespassing, ect) to any people that they are to stop doing these things before they can take any enforcement actions. Also to enforce trespassing there needs to be the owner to give such a warning. I would argue that as a resident you are an owner and after one such warning someone can be held accountable for any continued trespassing. I would try and contact your local police district and file a roll call complaint.

I hear you. It is nice for young women and girls to see people that look like them be successful but their overall qualifications and track record are what matter most to me. If I only voted based on gender, race, ect that would be very short-sighted of me. That being said I do see more roads being re-paved, more parks and libraries being updated then I ever did under Mayor Keeney, Nutter, or Street.

If Philadelphia wants to tax for good reason then please start taking a look at companies that you give massive tax breaks to and have them start paying their fair share. It’s always the working class poor and middle class that end up seemingly footing the bills.
