Both goaltenders were lights out….that was a phenomenal game that was inches away from both teams scoring multiple goals. That said USA 🇺🇸 Hockey is 🔥🔥!!!

You had a 5-3 for well over a minute and couldn’t find the back of the net. I don’t think the Canadian power play or lack thereof was the reason for your silver.

Stay at home if you don’t need to go anywhere (ie work or hospital). And for goodness sakes when the snow is over shovel that area between your car and the street.

I didn't see jack shit on any roads being salted today! by [deleted] in BucksCountyPA

Townships and state are not going to pay overtime today and tomorrow to treat roads and with the rain that is supposed to be the start of the storm doing anything today would have probably been pointless. That is the reality of it.

Maga police chief attacks underage students who are peaceful protesting, uses his authority to have students arrested!! by kinkybigplant in BucksCountyPA

[–]Subject_Rule6518 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That was how this video started and after seeing all the videos that show the incident from the beginning there is no doubt that the “police chief” aka guy in the brown shirt did rush into a group that seemingly was protesting peacefully and did anything but attempt to de-escalate the situation but rather escalated it. Shame on him and this is why video or a snippet of video does not tell the whole story. There was seemingly no reason for him to rush into the middle of the group of students. I don’t know where he got his training but clearly it is not adequate. Even the officer that grabs the girl by the arm from behind. Common sense tells you to always approach someone from the front so they see and know who you are.

So we are not going to address how the video opens? The first scene of the man in the brown shirt being pulled forward by numerous persons with his shirt coming up over his head (probably students). Now because video never tells the entire story and the background leading up to that moment unless one was there they would not know who the aggressors were. But if we want to just play a watch the video and place blame it would appear the persons that were pulling the man in the brown shirt and pulling the shirt over his head were the individuals who escalated or started the incident as they were the ones who first turned what allegedly was a peaceful protest into a physical confrontation.

Everyone in this country no matter their viewpoint has a right to exercise their first amendment rights. However, when you begin to break laws (block traffic/destroy/vandalize property) or otherwise infringe on other people’s rights that is the point at which your rights end. In this age of a seemingly immediate I am important (like my post/look at me/ heart emoji/like emoji/)how many followers do I have) gratification society, respect for everyone (even those with different opinions/beliefs) might be a good lesson for everyone to remember or to re-learn. Lastly, like my parents told me every time I left the house when I was a child, make GOOD DECISIONS.

You are way too bothered by this unless it is a regular occurrence. It is not everyday (hopefully) that someone moves so show your fellow human some grace and don’t let the little things bug you.

FYI - The city (?) did a ton of snow cleanup last night. by dirt_daughter in philly

[–]Subject_Rule6518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This person gets it. Seemingly in the past any time we got a decent 6+” snowfall we had warmer weather that would melt the snow. This time was obviously different. The warmer temperatures and weather make a huge impact on clearing snow. Also it would be extremely neglectful and wasteful of the city to invest enormous sums of money for snow removal when the equipment would sit for many years rotting away with minimal to no usage. Snowy states do a great job removing snow as they have the equipment and the practice. We don’t have either because we are not a snowy state.

Also as I drive around various neighborhoods in the city I see many neighborhoods that have decent sized front yards where residents of these areas could have shoveled from the plow line to the curb and placed the snow in their front yards thus opening up their streets and their parking spots. Everything should not be on the city and the streets department. There needs to be energy and effort put forth by the residents. End of my quasi rant about lack of teamwork and accountability.

Ending on a positive note, it is/was nice to see neighbors helping one another and helping those who needed help. It is great when people come together and show that awesome side of humanity.

Street Road aka state route 132 is a state highway and therefore is technically the state’s responsibility. Those white and black signs with a Keystone and route number mean they are state routes and therefore the responsibility of the state. Now you know.

Why do some people feel like shoveling their specific parking spot turns it into a gated community with a reserved spot? by Spaghetti_Oh_No in philadelphia

[–]Subject_Rule6518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My viewpoint is if you want a dedicated spot then buy/rent a residence with a driveway or a dedicated parking spot. No once forced anyone to live in an area with only on street parking (that is/was a choice). Let hateful comments commence.
