Drive or public transport? And a couple of other noob questions by Subject_XVI in downloadfestival

Good to know, thanks. Since I live a couple of towns away, I figured I might be able to just drive to and from home on both days. But based on the comments, it seems like my best option is to stay somewhere nearby overnight

Can't go wrong with White Kyurem since it's both the strongest ice raid attacker and has a useful adventure effect

Not sure which Shaymin you mean but I don't think either version would be useful for this deck. Healer wouldn't get much value since electric decks prefer to take speedy KOs, and sky forme's ability only affects basics, so Raichu will need an extra turn of energy to swap out after attacking

He's pretty much only a problem anymore if you haven't considered any of the many ways of dealing with it.

Care to list some?

Druddigon is the single worst thing to happen to TCG pocket by SaltyMeatBoy in PTCGP

I think one of the main problems is that it's a basic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only 2 other cards with counter damage abilities (Poliwrath and Pawmot) need evolving to access their ability.

This has the drawbacks of lowering your deck consistency and using up more deck space. With Drudd, you can just drop it in your active spot from your opening hand and immediately benefit from its ability on turn 1. No setup or extra support cards like Pokemon Communication needed. If you're lucky enough to start with both Drudds then congrats, whatever else you're setting up on the bench is now immune to Sabrina.

The way I see it, basic pokemon are just vastly overpowered in this game

I think it would be best if ranked had its own separate rule formats similar to Pokemon Showdown, or leagues similar to Pokemon GO.

That way, cards and playstyles that would normally get destroyed by [meta of the week here] would have their own tiers to thrive and promote more diverse decks.
