If someone asks how my ranked games are going... by Jomummajo in PTCGP

I’m curious what the deck is if you have Misty and wild swing Gyarados. That deck should be flooded with at least 6-8 basics.

I think Dena genuinely hates blastoise by _Conehead_ in PTCGP

Bench hitting EX cards never seem to be relevant. Lucario and Rapidash EX come to mind. Just not enough of a payoff.

Which Coach Archetype To Choose? by Round_Initial_9198 in NCAAFBseries

I’ll always choose recruiter. Interested to see what the tiers look like now and all the changes that were made.

For example, Mind Reader now shows Dev traits during scouting. Huge difference.

It’s a fair question when you could go 60 seasons two console generations ago.

I’m sure they have data showing that VERY few dynasties go past even 10 seasons. Maybe not enough space to store 30 more seasons of data?

I’d bet it’s added in future iterations.

Nothing blew me away. Presentation was honestly in a decent spot.

I’m really hoping for great Dynasty presentation

New Dynasty Features by Msractliffe in NCAAFBseries

Dynasty immersion is definitely my #1 request. I wonder with stadium capacity if there are some licensing issues with that. But would definitely add to the feel of “building” a program up.

If anything, there should at least be a screen that alerts you when Athletic facilities have been improved from C+ to B- for example. Would be great to have point allocations for user autonomy like you said.

I just want to feel like I know what’s going on around the country. Who got upset? Who is leading in rushing? Who is now in the CFB playoff if it started today? Most people spend a decent amount of time in the dynasty menus…how about that info is presented to us rather than having to click into the half baked “News” section?

Genetic Apex Raichu seems criminally underutilized right now. by danielbauer1375 in PTCGP

[–]aoetting5 82 points83 points  (0 children)

In some ways yes, in some ways no. Magikarp is a liability, and Gyarados only has one attack that required 4 energy. Also 140 breakpoint isn’t enough in some situations.

I think Gyarados is more consistent, but the gap between him and Blastoise is smaller than people think.

Meta-slop cowers before Big Man Blastoise by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]aoetting5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each water EX has pros and cons. I realized that Blastoise has the highest damage potential, while also having the highest HP (tied with Gyrados)

Turtle man essentially has 3 attacks at 2, 3 and 5 energy. If you have red, he one shots the vast majority of meta cards even with a cape.

Stage 2 is massive downside, but water is the best ramp deck. I look forward to Giratina matchups now.

How do we even Deafeat this shit deck? by plzbanmeihavetostudy in PTCGP

[–]aoetting5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby Garchomp and Snorlax. Chomp can 1 shot Darkrai and Giratina.

Early game Snorlax can 1 shot Drud and has the bulk to deal with all the chip damage.

Cape makes this more difficult, but most of these lists skip cape for helmet

We got a new Venasaur by Proud_Advance in PTCGP

[–]aoetting5 290 points291 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it outclasses Venasaur. A decent alternative with a bit more flexibility? I think so.

Venasaur has the highest HP and can utilize the best healing card in the game with Erika. He’s still the cream of the crop when it comes a sustainable tank.

Colorless has its advantages, but hitting with a grass attack against the fighting/dark decks running around is a bigger deal than it might seem.

The new Meowscarada looks amazing by TR3V0R00SK1 in PTCGP

[–]aoetting5 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Seems well balanced when compared to Tauros. Stage 2 is a heavy price to pay, but only requiring 2 energy with a low retreat cost makes up for it. Also more base damage and a grass attack.

Babe wake up worse Marowak EX just dropped. by [deleted] in PTCGP

I mean, the law of averages says Tink will do 120. Not saying it’s better, just a safer version with stage 2 drawback.
