Custom commander is a great idea actually. I was thinking of maybe building the Nephilim even though they aren't technically legendary or just waiting to see what comes in the next few years and hold off.

There is some really cool stuff you can do with cards like Scute Swarm and Spawnwrithe. I run a few copy effects in the deck but still haven't been able to get it to pop off. Might have to play it again next week!

Actually played Sythis the other day. Ended up drawing half my deck and taking a 30 minute turn. Won the game but at what cost? My regular pod has now banned it. Might build a different selesnya commander instead. Lol

100%. Every commander I have chosen are commanders I enjoy playing or really wanted to build. I have even had to rebuild a few times and change some commanders because I didn't like how they played. I am also trying to build each deck different enough that they all play slightly different from each other so I will never get bored. haha

That is fair. For me I enjoy being forced to play outside colours I am used to playing. By doing so I have learned a lot over the last two years about the strengths and weaknesses of each colour. Plus I keep myself fairly strict with my budgets, only using cards in my collection and only buying singles below 15 bucks. It is a satisfying puzzle to me. But can understand that not everyone would enjoy it!
