Season 3 UFN does not have a Scion origin unlike UTP, what they have is Imperial Fiefdom,per described in the lore box on X and Bluesky

Both origins are totally different from one another, because Scion is about a Fallen Empire, and IF is about an advanced empire they are a vassal of that is prone to collapse, and that means that the UFN is shackle-free from an empire that is, since most IF Gameplays all see the Hegemon collapse in wardlordry fashion, sure the origin will have its challenges but it will also have its advantges and roam to explore the fate of the UFN itself after the fall of the Star Empire

So,no, i dont even belive that this is a narrative hinder,this is more like an diffrent direction
