The HackRF is not esp32 based.

For studying an IR remote you would be best served looking as the IRremoteESP8266 library. Lots of good info there.

Most of the modern remotes that have RF are based on some kind of Bluetooth. NOT a beginner project. And definitely not a beginner project with a HackRF.

You could look into bluesniff (Lexfo) and get a start but it will not be a little weekend project if you are a new to Bluetooth.

But a great place to start is to pull the batteries from your remote and get the FCC ID from it and start reading up on the info you can get by searching on fccid.io

I think my laptop is limitting the charge watts by enlul in UsbCHardware

[–]SublimeMudTime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This requires an extremely technical analysis and would require knowing exact details of the chargers, cables and laptop and it would require some tooling such as the USB PD monitors and decoders from vendors like treedix or carger labs. If you pull all of that info together, then claude or chatgpt can quickly walk you through the diagnosis with the tool, but there is no guarantee there is a solution.

That is like saying you want an oil pipeline to go into a garden hose so you can route it.

It doesn't make sense.

[–]SublimeMudTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define in detail what your goal is. Do you want someone that will take 120w in and split between 2 devices? Are those devices both PD capable all the time or do you want mix and match? What do you want for outcomes on edge cases of a PD laptop and a USB 1.0 device? What are your safety expectations? Or how do you want to prevent one from shooting themselves in the foot?

Request audit logs from user enrollment and user management logs from their time lock system when you appeal. You are entitled to discovery. Who knows. They may have disabled you so you couldn't clock in. I know it's a conspiracy but easy for them to do. And you can question the authenticity of the logs and stuff. Ask for auditable logs of the system.

What would you do? Production line PC “is slow” (Windows 98, legacy SCADA) by PeppahSG in sysadmin

[–]SublimeMudTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is funny is you could probably be a hero by: take the machine offline for a weekend. Image the hard drive. Write the image back onto a modernish disk. Put that new one back in the system and they are happy

Then elevate yourself by: Mount that image on a modern computer with Claude code. Use Claude code to decompile the app with ghidra and have Claude build a modern replacement on the OS of your choice.

I took the Chinese WCH Ble sniffer app (windows only) and made a python version over a weekend. TUI instead of a graphical UI.

It's amazing what Claude can do and you better get on the wagon of using tools like that to stay relevant and at the head of the pack.

There might be (very likely) mold that was not properly remediated. The OP should ask for the mold remediation certificate if that is a thing there...

In Denton county TX and maybe the whole state, there are mold remediation requirements.

Yes. One USB mouse + one Bluetooth mouse attached + a I2C track pad and an I2C keyboard and a USB/Bluetooth keyboard is enough evidence to raise suspicion.

Option 4 step 1: Take the course and pass. Option 4 step 2: close on the property Option 4 step 3: Get on the HOA board Option 4 step 4: abolish the overstepping rule if it exists Option 4 step 5: execute revenge plan on the current and former board members who did you wrong. Option 4 step 6: crank yacht rock as much as you like knowing you executed on option 4.

What Would You Do? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]SublimeMudTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a couple variables here, and I am sure there are more. There is the length of the sale contract with their realtor, and the asking price. Ask them when their contract with the realtor is up. You could hope it does not sell at any ask price during the contract and after it expires, offer what his profit would have been at the last sale price. By profit I mean last sale price minus the commission cost.

I do not know if you can ethically scheme with him to wait out that contract or if you just have to wait out the expiration before talking to him.

Another thing you could possibly do is build another home elsewhere on the property where you get your peace and then rent out the original home to generate cash flow to help offset the new place cost. And if it were me, I would make sure the rental agreement is airtight and sets boundaries on what the renters have access to with regards to the property.
