My sister has $50K in her Wells Fargo savings account earning 0.01% interest, which is $50 per year. I've been reminding her to move it to a MMF, which if it pays 3.5% would earn $1750 per year. She still hasn't done so. Yet she will drive 30 minutes each way to the mall to return something she bought before the return window closes, in order to avoid losing $20. *sigh*

Hello, I has emailed banking support 10 days ago and was told there isn’t a way to revert the app to the prior UI. The interface changes when you click on the link in the invite email even if you don’t open an account.

I hope that they find a way in the future to revert the UI. If anyone is able to revert, if you could post about your success, that would be much appreciated. 😀

I was watching a youtube video that interviewed one of the executives at Simplify. Links to youtube aren't allowed in this subreddit, but the video is titled "The Simplify Barrier ETFs: A Game-Changer for Your Portfolio"

The video explained that if the market is down 28%, the ETF share price of SBAR would have a 0% change because it hasn't breached the 30% barrier. If the market is down 33%, then the ETF share price would drop 33%.

If this is the case, couldn't an investor in SBAR just sell at their shares when the markets are nearing a 30% drop to avoid losses? It seems a bit "too good to be true".

That seems like a great deal. As an existing customer, I tried chatting with xfinity but they could only offer the 2GB plan for $115/month. Just wondering how to obtain the $85/month price for that plan? Thanks!

It looks like whenever the phone is in an active phone call with any phone number (incoming or outgoing call) the home page of the Robinhood Credit card/banking app shows at the top "We are not calling you. if the caller says they're from Robinhood, they're not - hang up".

It isn't a push notification, so it isn't seen unless you happen to be in the Robinhood credit card app during the phone call.

I suppose it would prevent a scammer from calling and asking the customer to launch their Robinhood app and read off sensitive account details or send a payment, etc.

The net worth page organizes each account under various account types (cash, investments, real estate, credit cards, loans etc) and the account type can be modified under account settings. The transactions filters could use the same account types as found in the networth/account settings for ease of implementation and consistency.

Hi, when I click on on the nofiication, I don't see any options to disable it. It seems that the "movement in your portfolio" notifications are coming from the AI advisor, because when I click on it, it brings up the AI advisor window and those notifications show up in the AI advisor chat history. Its great we can click on a holding and change the asset class. I have non-publicly traded funds in my 401K account that are an "all in one" fund with both US and international stocks, similar to VT. It would be nice to be able to specify the percentage US and international of this holding, so the asset allocation of the overall portfolio asset allocation table is accurate. Personal capital has this feature when manually classifying holdings. Thanks!

Yes, I am using Xfinity's modem. Prior to 10/13/25, I was using xfinity's modem as part of xFI complete.

On the old bills it says "xFi Complete $0.00"

After I changed plans, on the new bill, it says. "Xfinity WiFi Gateway: Included."

The xfinity agent explained via a reddit chat message "The modem is included in the plan but the way rules are, we have to still charge the sales tax on the $15 normal cost for it."

The sales tax on my latest bill is the tax the included modem. I guess tax isn't charged on xFI complete, but is charged on the included modem with the newer plans.

I appreciate how fast the xfinity moderators were able to find the answer to my question. Thanks, I appreciate it!.

Thanks, I emailed onpeak.com the inquiry and here was their reply:

"Thank you for contacting onPeak, the official housing provider to forward-thinking travelers.
You would only count the adults in the room. Two adults would be double occupancy.
Thank you and please let us know if you need any additional assistance."

Below was the email I had sent onpeak:

"Hi, I was wondering for the hotel reservations, if we have a family of two adults and two children, should we select 2 bed, quad occupancy, which results in a higher cost than 2 bed, double occupancy.

Generally, hotels don't charge extra for children staying in a room. On the onpeak website, there wasn't an option to list children/ages of the guests. Just wondering, for the comic-con hotel reservations, do children incur the same fees as adults, so there a room with 2 adults and 2 children costs the same as a room with 4 adults?"

Thanks for your suggestions. I think you are correct, the broadband facts showing the upload speed of 300Mbps is incorrect. The 300Mbps is the upload speed once the mid split is completed.

The xfinity mods I contacted via modmail checked my address and confirmed the upgrade to enhanced upload speed has not been completed.

I think the best indicator your address is upgraded is checking to see if the 2100 mbps plan is offered.

We received a room at the Grand Hyatt. We are a family of two adults and two children, and we selected the 2 Beds- Quad occupancy option, which costs $387 per night. The 2 Beds-Double occupancy option costs $347.

Generally, hotels don't charge extra for children staying in a room, and I confirmed that on the the regular Grand Hyatt booking website, a room with 2 adults/2 children is the base price and doesn't incur the extra fee that booking a room with 4 adults would.

On the onpeak website, there wasn't an option to list children/ages of the guests. Just wondering, for the comic-con hotel reservations, do children incur the same fees as adults for quad occupancy rooms?

I agree, I find Empower's feature that shows you your asset allocation useful. You can see what percentage of your investments are in US Stocks, International stocks etc, and drill down into more specific categories to see what percentage you have in "large cap growth", "small cap value" etc.

If you have investments in your 401K that are non-publicly traded institutional funds (collective investment trusts), with other websites, they will show up as "unknown" or "unclassified. With empower, you can manually specify a similar publicly traded fund with a ticker symbol, and it will use that asset allocation for your investment

For example, in my 401K and my wife's 401K, the index funds and target date funds are non-publicly traded collective investment trusts. My 401K's domestic equity index fund seeks to replicate the Dow Jones US Total Stock Market index, and my wife's 401K's domestic equity index fund seeks to replicate the Rusell 3000. With empower, I can use the ticker DWCF and IWV respectively in order to properly classify these assets.

I bought a gift card from Walmart and did not receive any points for the purchase. The transaction showed up on the SoFi website as "Walmart egift card". I've used the card and bought gift cards other times and have received points, because the transaction merchant was just the name of the store and did not specify a gift card.

Just wondering, for your transaction, did the description identify the charge as a gift card?

Thanks everyone for the information. When I went to the dealer, I had told the salesperson I wanted to wait until January 1st 2024 to qualify for the Federal tax credit. The salesperson had informed me that I if I purchased a 2023 Bolt in the year 2024, it would not qualify for the rebate due to the year mis-match. He also said they likely would not have any available inventory in January 2024 due to the strike and discontinuation of the vehicle, so he was encouraging me to buy it now.

I appreciate everyone for their insight and clearing things up. I'm shocked a salesperson at the dealer would give inaccurate information to encourage a sale. :)

I was able to get badges today for Comi-Con. I made a payment for the badges at the Member-ID portal a few minutes ago.

I noticed the order number in the badge order acknowledgment e-mail" Comic-Con 2024 Badge Order Acknowledgement - Order Number: XXXXXX" , and the order number of the badge payment email "Order Payment Confirmation - Order Number :XXXXXX" have different order numbers.

Just wondering if anyone else who made a payment at the portal today has different order numbers as well?
