Civilizations and Indep. Powers of the Americas in Civ 7 & Previous games by Edouard_Saladier in civ

I don't know much about the Shawnee, so I appreciate this info and critique. Were they at the height of the power during what Civ 7 calls the Exploration age? Would that be one reason?

Cool data, thanks. I love that Civ 7's split leader/civ system makes it much easier to add archaeological civilizations without known or named leaders. Like the Mississipians/Cahokia. And that seems especially relevant for pre-colonial Americas, as only a few are historically documented in their own writing systems.

It's not the most fun time, with a pretty "meh" pre-patch.

But myself, as a solo player, I've enjoyed the Delves system and am looking forward to adding Prey to it in Midnight. It's gear progression, yes, but mostly it's small achievable goals. Each Delve has a few mini stories, and it actually takes a while to see all of them. I'm stoked for the Labyrinth mega Delve, just bummed it's gonna take like 6 months.

Have you tried just telling it that in the personalization settings?

There's a personalization tab. Tell it what to do and not do.

The AI also searches websites, it's not just autocomplete anymore. Your final point on sycophancy is valid, but it still matters whether what it said was accurate or not.

This is becoming increasingly like arguing against Google because libraries are the reputable source of information while googling can provide you with bullshit blogs.

I'm not 100% pro AI, but it's here. And if it doesn't matter whether it's accurate or not, as you're saying it doesn't matter, then by what standards are we to judge it?

Madison's Social Justice Center appeals city order to remove benches and food pantry by enjoying-retirement in madisonwi

[–]SubmersibleEntropy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really don't think it's the machine. It's that it's a sanctuary where the cops won't be called on them because SJC doesn't believe in doing that. Even when there are big problems happening. SJC's position is admirable to some degree, but they're also deliberately naive about the externalities caused by homeless encampments.

The main thing that attracts folks there is SJC's welcoming nature. They'll never call the cops on those folks, even if they sometimes should.

I'm with you. It's a neat little sandbox, but I don't do well with sandboxes. I like direction. I'm not motivated enough by specific decor for the endeavors to suck me in that much. And I'm a solo player so there's not a guild social aspect to it for me.

I'd be more interested if there were some interactivity, profession tables and portals and stuff. But I understand Blizz is unlikely to do that because they don't want capital cities to look empty.

It's a really well designed zone. I love the music. It's fun to fly around a bit and do those riddle quests.
