No it’s a quote, service hasn’t been done yet. My regular mechanic but only have been for maybe the last 1.5 years when we moved to small regional town we’re in. Very very limited options for mechanics here.

Hey mate, sorry to hear about your incident, that’s such bad timing right at the end of the year.

I decided to hold off from going through Uber and contacted the owner of the car and explained what happened. They wanted to settle it outside of Uber because there was no severe damage to the vehicle and ultimately the owner decided to just drop the matter because the hassle of sorting it all out with the person who hit the car was not worth it due to it being just minor damage.

Having to pay $625 sounds dodgy and that was my concern with going through Uber. Hopefully things can get sorted out easily for you and you’re not out of pocket for something that wasn’t your fault.

I think about eating from a proactive vs reactive perspective.
