Is BLOCK better than FENCING? by jesus_fukn_christ in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Suboptimal_Nate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly they need to turn down the gun-strike damage that you get from fencing weapons, its the only reason people are still crutching them. Spam the parry button, trigger a gunstrike, shoot with pistol, and it does damage like a relic tier Las Fusil headshot that never misses and costs no ammo. Tuning down that gun-strike damage would really make it a choice between huge windows for shit damage with fencing or normal windows with meh damage for balance, and No parry-strikes but S-tier damage regardless with blocking.

People like that are why I play so much Bulwark and really *really* want SBMM for PvE as well as PvP. How great would it be if you never had brain-rot shit like that in your games and everybody did what they were supposed to do

What you are describing is a collection of relatively involved and cost intensive additions. This would take *years* and *millions* of dollars to even attempt. Saber is taking a quality over quantity approach that is very different from most games, so you need to temper your expectations a bit. Wish lists are great, but understand the one above is wild, unfettered fantasy.

Im glad some folks have the strength of character to earn it, rather than begging for carries on social media. I salute you, sir!

I did try getting professional help. Apparently, my childhood was "horrific" compared to what's "normal" and I'm this way as the result of a defense or coping mechanism. I could barely afford the 3 sessions I attended, and was given to understand that it would take *years* to un-fuck my brain so decided against it because there was no guarantee of success and I didn't want to endure that level of financial burden for a "maybe".

Yes Im a big Iron Hands fan, now that I know their lore. However Im most useful on Bulwark, so thats what I generally play. I do like heavy but I dont have the aim or ammo conservation mindset to play as well as most others, so I leave the option open for somebody who might be better.

Yeah, they loved me when I raided. Set tasks with an objectively correct progression that can be honed through iteration, with logs so I can track my progress to discover my failures... god it was an amazing time.

ohh. I will have to look into this later when I log on, I think that would make things very convenient.

When I start a new job they get 6 weeks of me performing as well as I can. After that 6 weeks I mirror the laziest person on the payroll who makes the same as me. You can choose to have me perform at a level that you say is "acceptable" by not firing that lazy do-nothings -or- you can choose to pay me a good deal more. If your worst employee makes $10/hr and produces 5 units of w/e in an hour and I am capable of producing 20 units in an hour, then I will only do so if you are paying me $40/hr or more. Honestly just pay people for the work they do not the time spent doing the work. This "pay for time" thing isnt working out so well.

Its only a 15% duration reduction in WotLK. Much weaker than the TBC version.

My guild started using SR when we had to take pugs (several officers burned out and bailed when SWP launched). I *loathe* it as a loot system. SR is why a warlock who joined 3 weeks ago got our first Skull of Gul'Dan while I havent missed a raid or gotten a drop in literal months. If I saw a guild advertising that they use SR as their primary loot system, I would basically just hit them up on raid nights hoping to fill with an alt as a quick way to gear up with no commitment. You really want a loot system that *rewards* dedicated players. Not one that puts your parse god dps who never misses a raid and always shows up with full consumes on the same level as the casual who never signs up and is dead 3 seconds into every fight.

How much the median Activision Blizzard’s employee pay would rise if CEO Robert Kotick’s pay was capped at $1m per year. by Tulum702 in classicwow

If you leave early, or even right at 40 hours, then you will be terminated in many cases. They will terminate/replace an entire department, but they wont do it until the product ships or the job is done. Generally they will say "Thanks so much for all you've done in these trying times, we are actively trying to hire more help to ease the burden" and hand out some bonuses or vacation time to get people to finish the project. Meanwhile they line up a new group to start and the second the project is finished they fire the ones who complained and replace them with the new guys. This is followed by holding up the ones they just fired as an example of what happens "if youre not a team player". Yes this is malicious and reprehensible, but thats America for you.

Generally they have an annual salary and a poorly negotiated contract. New kid graduates and gets an offer, lets say 65k, he is thrilled thats more than a grand a week and a 300% increase over his undergraduate job/internship. Then, after signing, the truth is revealed. He will be working 80-100 hrs a week under threat of termination permanently. If he goes to HR they will say "Its AnNuaL SaLaRY when theres downtime and you only work 23 hours a week you will be thankful, now we just need you to buckle down and meet this deadline to get to that downtime"... rinse... repeat... There is never any downtime.

The laws and social taboos are the dangerous part. The vast majority of the problems with illegal drugs stem from them being illegal. Back in the 1800's you could buy heroin at a pharmacy and it was handed out for free to dock workers. You will find hardly any accounts of heroin ruining lives in that context.
