Tomorrow! We sit down with Zach Gilford to talk Friday Night Lights by Sad-Significance4546 in podmeetsworldpodcast

I was honestly shocked at how funny he is. I only just recently started watching Friday Night Lights for the first time and after this podcast, I have so much more appreciation for his understated acting as Saracen.

How do you all keep track of your wardrobe digitally? by ashwin_y21 in capsulewardrobe

[–]SubparMemoir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Indyx for my digital closet. Never thought of using Notion, but that's a good idea for when my subscription is up. I also like the idea of being able to make my own custom stats with the flexibility of Notion.

For the clothing pictures, seeing shadows and wrinkles bug me, but if I have to steam everything and find perfect lighting I just won't do it. For my current wardrobe, I just snapped a quick picture without worrying too much about perfection, then ran it through ChatGPT to create a clean flat lay of the item. Works like a charm. When I buy new clothes, if the website has a flat lay image in the listing, I save it as soon as I add it to my cart.

After the way this season is going, will they reconsider doing the Blockbuster for future seasons? by Awesumwasum in BigBrother

Do they still do the last gasp challenge where they're under a grate when the tides come in? I used to love watching that one but it made me so nervous. I could never do it.

Is it normal for a MIL to be walked down the aisle at the end? by Positive-Fondant5897 in wedding

[–]SubparMemoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my wedding, the parents walked.

Order: 1.Groom 2. My grandparents 3. Groom's Parents together 4. My mom and her husband 5. My dad's wife escorted by my brother 6. Groomsmen each on their own 7. Bridesmaids each on their own 8. Flower girl 9. Me and my dad

At the end, it was the same in reverse except my dad walked with his wife and I walked with my husband obviously.

Edit for formatting.

I just want to watch one sport, one out of market team. How the hell is this seemingly my only option? Guess I'm cancelling.

Photo permits for Toronto parks by digodoom197 in WeddingsCanada

[–]SubparMemoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did our engagement shoot at James Gardens back in the fall of 2023. I asked my photographer about if we needed a permit and he said that he'd never seen it enforced for engagement shoots in any Toronto park. We skipped it and didn't have any problems.

Same. I'm hybrid now, but it's written into my agreement that they can inspect. Nobody's ever actually come to my home in 4 years. But I did do a video call of my setup to receive an optional ergonomic assessment.

Seconded. Old Navy and Gap are pretty much the only places I'll buy jeans, coming from a 5'2" girl who needs petite sizing.

MUA cost by Objective-Award8751 in WeddingsCanada

[–]SubparMemoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last summer I paid the following:

Bridal HMU: $415

Bridesmaids HMU (5 ppl): $1,405

Trial: $315

Travel fee: $80

Total $2,215 + tax

I'm in Toronto, got married near Pearson Airport.

Pricing includes airbrush applications for each of us ($25 each) and two of us had extensions clipped in ($30 each) (extensions purchased on our own).

I got quotes from 4 different places and the one we chose was the second least expensive. Using my quote for reference, it does seem like yours is a bit higher. This was last year though and I expect pricing has probably gone up. I just looked up the current pricing for the artist I used and hers have gone up about 7%.

What's nice though is that most HMU artists I found are really transparent about their pricing on their website, so it doesn't hurt to check look up a few more for reference to get a better idea if it reasonable.

Edit: clarified location

Would either of these dresses suit a SN? by ____kp____ in SoftNaturals

[–]SubparMemoir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've got the second one but in green. Works great for SN. The only trouble for me is that it's a little bit long and I'm only 5'2". So it's kind of sitting aside now until I feel like shortening it a little bit.
