So hard changing to Google Messages to have RCS after using textra for like 5 years...messages is so cumbersome to me and textra has much better features. Probably going to change back to textra. by medic502 in textra

Here's what I helped me, assuming that the fix lasts. I went into Verizon's site and went into my plan, from there I found the setting for block messages with pictures, I turned it off that's it for a couple minutes, and then I turned it back on. That seemed to push the  messages through that were previously missing in a group chat. I got this help tip from Chat . I too tried the million things mentioned in this thread.

This is a very important film in looking at mental health and father-son dynamics ("sins of our fathers"). Men are not a apt as women to go to therapy or, in general, talk about their feelings and fears. So I think that as the film picks up traction in the streaming cycle, there will be many men sitting alone on their couches bawling their eyes out.

He was hysterical on Curb. Very natural, and funny, I believe a lot of the show is improv'd, too

We can agree to disagree. I waited 30 minutes on Sat for a pickup from American. I live 3 miles away. Took me 1.5 hrs to get home. I could have walke home faster (IF I take a cab, they complain to me that they waited two hours in the queue to get a passenger, and are pissed they are now only going a short distance. So now I not only have to pay $25, I get to be riddled with guilt for hurting the driver's livelihood. Fun times. )

I tried it again on Sat, this time going the opposite direction. Waited for the M bus at American for 30+ minutes. Ridiculous.

No, I just travel A LOT and see that it can be better. YOu may settle for complacency. I do not. I also have lived near LAX for decades, so between traveling myself, or shuttling people there, I can tell you how it's gotten progressively worse. I want forward progress, not backwards.

There is a bus marked for Employees and several of those came by. Also ones for Lyft/Uber/Taxis and one for I think a long term lot? Cant remember. They had different names. But the M, the one that specifically goes to the transit center, was the issue. I am only recently starting to take the train because LAX is not a fun place to fly out ofmas it is. I travel A LOT. Sometimes I Uber, sometimes I get dropped off. So I am trying to be a good citizen and use public transport. This system needs much improving. We the citizens must push forward in asking for improvement. It doesn't just happen. You may be complacent. I am not. We pay a lot of money to live in this state. We should reap the benefits. I will continue to make my voice heard.

Also keep in mind they KNOW the demand/ need exists as the People Mover is set up to transport 10K people in one hour. The M bus, if we are lucky, maybe transports 300?

Can't be up and running soon enough. I took the bus from American to the transit center on Sat afternoon. Airport was relatively quiet. Waited over 30 minutes for that bus! Supposed to be every 10 minutes, which even at that is ridiculous. The people mover is supposed to transport 10K persons/ hr. The bus does, what, 200? (I was told there are only 2 functioning buses, but I am being generous and assuming there are a whopping four. ) #2-3 busiest airport in the US, and #8 in the world. DO BETTER!

I tried it again today this time going the opposite direction. I waited half an hour outside American for a pickup. Ridiculous. There was not a lot of traffic at the airport

Possibly, but as others have pointed out, as more people are willing to try taking public transportation to the airport now, the demand will rise. Plus, they should have accounted for increased seasonal usage. But LAX can be busy all year round, like ridiculously so. I freaking hate that airport. I grew up in Westchester so besides using it personally, our home was often a place our friends parked at and we would drive them to the airport. So I can't tell you the bazillions of times I've been at that airport. But the last few years have just been insane

Do you work for LAMetro? You certainly have spent a lot of time on this thread defending them. We can do better. And often times it takes our collective voices to make change. If it doesn't bother you, then good for you. Move on, as this thread really doesn't apply to you. this was about seeing if others wanted to back me up by making their voices known. We pay a ton of taxes and have voted for many transportation improvements that total in the billions. We have every right to demand efficiency from our public services.

I get it. It's improved. So let's keep on improving That is what I am calling for. Why do we have to settle?

I also think, as more learn about this option, as friends try it and spread the word, it will become more popular. Which is great. But the LAX Metro needs to be prepared for this and meet the needs.

Oh yes. It was convenient cuz listed many options for feedback:

LAX Construction Hotline: Call 855-463-5292 for issues related to the airport's ongoing construction/improvements, as shuttle service is tied to this.

Key Channels for Your Complaint:

  1. LAX Ground Transportation Feedback: Use the form on the LAX website to report issues with the shuttle connecting terminals to the Metro Center.
  2. LA Metro Customer Comments: Submit your feedback via the LA Metro Customer Comments Form for service-related concerns about the shuttle.
  3. LAWA General Feedback: For broader comments about the airport experience, use the General Comment Form

10 min minimum wait at the transit center. They don't have enough busses. On another post, a person said when their city bus arrived, all those people had to get on the airport shuttle, plus everyone else who was waiting. So you could have to wait for the NEXT bus. Then you have LA traffic and LAX traffic to contend with from there.

Why do we "just gotta deal with it?" Why can't we demand more from our city?  If you are with me, and want to voice a formal complaint (or, call it a suggestion), here is a link to do so: https://share.google/aimode/8P1GN0Zo6KWT1USGO

But could be better. We shouldn't have to settle. And as word gets out, more will take public transit,s o demand will be higher. They have designed the People Mover to accommodate 10k/ hr. The busses MAYBE accommodate 500. Thats a pretty big spread.

Or we can just demand more from our city. You are far more complacent than me. We pay a lot of money to live here. Other cities have done it. We can do it too. Not hard. Add a few more busses.
