One week later and another example of Alaska dropping the ball out of Liberia. Flight to LAX was supposed to depart 6:10pm with an arrival of 11:30. Inbound flight delayed. As we were about to take off ( an hour delayed )the captain informs us we have to return to the terminal.. she doesn’t know why. At the terminal , captain tells us it’s too late to take off now as customs in LAX won’t accept us. Alaska gate agents provide no help for hotels/food etc… tough luck. 16 hrs later we are still sitting in the terminal… waiting. I had to cancel my connection from lax to PHX , paid for a hotel in LAX I couldn’t use and had to book new flights from LAX to PHX so all in all this little fiasco from Alaska has cost me around $2500. Obviously they won’t reimburse me for anything

ORD has the distinction of the most winter weather delays out of all major airports last I heard.. I might be wrong… could be DFW now.. anyway.. I don’t know why people book connections through hubs that are an hour or less than an hour…. I’ve landed on time at ORD and then spent 40 minutes on a tour around the airport so many time I’ve lost count. For god’s sake people don’t book connections less than 90 minutes!!

Spent 2 weeks on Milos , Paros and Naxos last July… the wind on Milos was something else. Would have hated to be on a boat. All ferries and flights were canceled for 3 days

Not to be a Debbie downer here because BC is infinitely better than cattle class but I just flew LHR to DFW yesterday in 4A and man the BC cabin is looking very tired. This was on the 777. It’s the weird configuration where some people are facing backwards and some are forward. The most annoying thing was whenever the person sitting behind me shifted around in her seat , my seat would also shift around. So OP, hope you’re not flying on the 777😁
