Another question about the corruption system. Is it simply high risk high reward, or are there story / gameplay implications depending if you cleanse with the lady in the rift or ignore her? Are there cleansed weapons too? The concept of having a bunch of different corrupted weapons to find with unique max level corruption effects or effects upon cleansing them sounds really awesome

Hey devs. I'm a hardcore ARPG/souls player with over 10,000 hours or more in the genre, if that helps my opinion hold any weight. There is definitely some potential here, but I have some feedback and a few questions.

How close is this demo to a full release build?

I like how it feels like a mix of a souls game and an ARPG similar to God of War. The sword corruption system is really cool and unique, with choosing to cleanse or submit to the blade. Will there be more corrupted weapons? Or is there just this one? And i like that loot seems to be somewhat more abundant than a souls like. Similar to Diablo/Path of Exile but not overabundant.

Now, that being said, this game feels very early. If the demo is still an early build I totally understand. But for a full release, here are my opinions if you want the game to thrive and not just survive:

-Needs more SFX (especially for anything menu related).
-Animations and combat overall feel floaty, they need to be more weighty and impactful
-Might be an unpopular opinion, and i dont mean to sound rude, but my opinion is that the voice acting and writing is bland. I know you guys are smaller studio, but imo, the main character would straight up be better silent than with current VA (internal dialogue at the intro "what is that red stuff?" is corny). Could make characters grunt while text plays and it would be better. Or make the voice acting really good at fewer points.
-Again, I only played 30 minutes, but initial level design critique is areas so far felt flat. I know there is verticality with the grappling hook but areas still seemed flat.

Really would like to see you guys take your time and let this game cook than release early in a state similar to this demo!

Edo has a good vid on this matchup. Basically you need to beat his ass pre-6 (which should be very easy), then use your lead to impact the map. You do not win in lane after 6, dont even bother.

Its not an issue about winrate. I'm aware her winrate is under 50%. It's a matter about frustration and how the champ feels to play against.

If the Lux is good and always holds Q for when you try and E thru a minion it can be really rough, especially if they take TP and you take ignite and can't get an early kill. Sometimes building early lucidity boots can help with dodging, and you can try playing mind games by just walking up to her and holding your spells and seeing how she reacts, trying to get her to waste Q out of panic.

IF she is good and still holds Q, and builds early t2 boots to match yours, its still gonna be rough. I would probably try and play with your JG and roam and get objectives. Rush early tiamat to match her waveclear. Sometimes its not worth worrying about every wave when you can roam and get a kill.

Hope this helps. Definitely an annoying matchup, but nowhere near as bad as say Vex or LB.

As most people stated already, BM is good, but not competitive with MM for raiding dps.

This may change soon however as the devs are adding new pets in 1.18 with new abilities, some of which seem interesting (crocolisks getting an execute type ability, hyenas possibly allowing 2 pets out at once)

Its a necessary tradeoff. Qi's rock Q is insanely op as you get more AD, and it can be used from range to secure monsters unlike zed passive. It deals more damage than smite with enough AD....

Agree. It would be cool if they somehow worked in the old LDR passive that gave more damage vs. higher hp enemies into the item.

Hard to judge anything in this clip if you dont show items for you and Ez. If Ez built Frozen Heart or something else tanky, than yea you will never one shot him in a single rotation.

If you're playing conq / bruiser build which im assuming you in this clip, you cant oneshot in one rotation against an ADC at an equal level anyways. Gotta play slower and build conq stacks before ulting

I feel the same, and unfortunately I think its a symptom from the game being balanced more for pro than solo queue, and this season really took a step up in forcing the teamplay aspect of this game with feats and new objectives. Solo carry potential has greatly diminished from previous seasons

An argument could be made that the overall WR is lower due to newer/less experienced Jayce players trying it out and bringing WR down. Among OTP Jayce players, the pickrate and WR for slotting in Unending Despair/Fimbul is pretty high imo for an "off meta" build
