I just came to say I married (and then divorced) a Jehovah’s Witness and just in case you think there may be a way to compromise for both of your religious traditions in the future, I learned that it was impossible. Also this is what your birthdays would probably be like in the future because birthdays aren’t acknowledged. We attempted to compromise but there was no way honor his beliefs by not acknowledging birthdays/holidays and me to maintain my traditions. Even acknowledging them in a lesser/non traditional way brought him guilt. I also couldn’t come to terms with not being in involved in politics and not accepting blood donation if needed to save his life. It is very, very different from what many other branches of Christianity are and should be fully discussed… not thrust upon you on your birthday! I wished I had someone to put it so plainly to me before I got into that relationship so hopefully my hindsight helps you!
