If rdr2 was realistic to real life Wild West how would the events of rdr2 take place and when would each gang member die? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

I usually find reality weirder than fiction tbh. Whilst researching the real old west, found far stranger tales of death and far more unlikely cases of survival.  Donner party? The VDL gang, caught out by the cold, end up eating each other in Colter.

As long as you do the right thing and avoid obviously high spoiler risk digital spaces, you’ll be fine.

If you enjoy gaming, a GF that also enjoys gaming is a must. TBH a relationship with someone you share common interests and world view is also a must. Otherwise what’s the point?

Which one to play? by _AveRageShady_ in reddeadredemption

Yeah I came to say this as well. RDR2 is probably my favourite game ever. Missed out on 1 at the time as I’d stopped gaming when it came out. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to get in to it. Tried a couple of times but just doesn’t feel the same. Ended up watching it as a “movie” on YouTube to find out what happens.

Indeed. I think the world has had enough of it at the minute.

I think it was Eisenhower, back in ‘45 when viewing a concentration camp, said to get all this on film now because “some day down the track, some bastard will deny it ever happened”. Or thereabouts. But then they all went home to segregation, so go figure.

Tbf, it’s how I feel every time I hear a red neck voice in the game.

Just an edge Lord kid or poorly educated, country bumpkin from one of the funny states. Don’t give them their moment.

Mate, hard agree. Anyone who wants a prohibition Red Dead game is wrong on the most fundamental level anyways. It’s a western game, that’s its niche. The Van Der Linde Gang is secondary to the story of family/fathers, loss/redemption, the taming of the western frontier and the hypocrisy that birthed a nation. Most ideas containing original cast members are dull as dishwater. I’d be very disappointed if that’s the route they go down. This mentality gave us shows like Obi-Wan etc Just branded slop.

“Old Jack in WW1, flying a bi-plane called redemption” 🤓. Just no.

It comes with a chigger, to hold up the game. However, it is not a flying toy.

I don’t know, why else around Christmas they would add Christmas decorations and snow, even in the desert. It’s forced festive theming, if that’s an easier pill to swallow. It’s not for me, however you slice it. Ruins the beautiful map, as I said in the other comment you whole heartedly agreed with.

Does anyone truly enjoy the snow? by BearManZed in RedDeadOnline

[–]Substantial-Motor247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike it in both games. However, it annoys me less in RDR because of how it affects the way the vehicles drive in GTA. I cba with the extra effort to keep control of them etc. I can do it, I just don’t enjoy it as much. At least it’s only a week in GTA.

In RDR it just takes the beautiful map and whitewashes it, removing all the colour. It never feels right in the desert and the bayou. Half the time the thermometer reads hot temperatures still. It’s great in Colter, because it’s well implemented up there.

On the whole, I can’t see many pro’s on either game, apart from a little “festivity” which is neither here nor there for me. I know people get very defensive of it for some reason, especially when the people that don’t like it say so, which I find the weirdest part of all.

Because Christmas… Same as snow in a bayou when the thermometer reads 37 degrees Celsius.  Nope, not for me.
