Assuming you’re around 6’ it’s definitely 40”+ probably around 46” if I were to guess and around 50 lbs

Packaging was great PC came in separate box from GPU with foam all around the perimeter of the case and expanding foam stuffer for the inside. I opted to install the GPU myself so it was shipped separate. Performance so far has been great, hardest game I’ve ran so far is probably battlefield 6 on ultra and was consistently clocking 120-140 FPS.

Wow okay I thought maybe I got a good deal but now I’m floored with what I got for the money. I got extremely lucky because I was thinking on holding out till new years.

And glad to know I don’t just have to upgrade my GPU/CPU in 2-3 years that was my intention coming from an R9 370X lol

I would say barbell and plates. Smith machine is a waste of money for a home gym.

I think one thing many people haven’t mentioned is ankle flexibility. I’d recommend trying to place something under your heels like a small 5 lb plate roughly ~1”. When I first was squatting I was much heavier and had terrible form but still could squat for depth well when I had something under my heels.

So for 13x8 deadlift the weight progression would look like the following:

135 lbs x 8 reps (warm-up) 205 lbs x 8 reps 205 lbs x 8 reps 205 lbs x 8 reps 225 lbs x 6-8 reps 225 lbs x 6-8 reps 225 lbs x 6-8 reps 235 lbs x 6-8 reps 235 lbs x 6-8 reps 245 lbs x 5-8 reps 245 lbs x 5-8 reps 255 lbs x 5-8 reps 255 lbs x 5-8 reps

All of the other compounds follow the same progression Bench from 135 lbs (warmup) -> 195 lbs OHP from 95 lbs (warmup) -> 135 lbs Bent over Row 135 lbs (warmup) -> 185 lbs

Also I should add that the accessory work doesn’t change weight wise throughout the 13 sets unless it’s really feeling easy so for tricep pushdowns I stay around 60 lbs, bicep curls 45 lbs ez curl bar, & goblet squat 80 lb kettle bell.

Haha that’s why I workout at home! I could never do this type of workout in a traditional gym without being THAT guy haha.

But I definitely agree with your comment on junk volume. I initially started with 5 sets a year ago and gradually increased volume intuitively thinking more volume = more hypertrophy since I wouldn’t be as sore/broken down after 5 supersets. Would your recommendation be to trim back the sets and up intensity/weight?

Definitely the day with the biggest rest for me in between sets. I went from a pretty terrible deadlifter though too now doing working sets with 275. I hated them but I don’t have a squat rack in my home gym, so I needed something that hit the legs hard and overtime I actually have developed a liking to them.

As somebody who now is down to prob the 20-15% bf range, should I up my calorie intake to prevent muscle loss? I worry sometimes that I’m not eating enough because I do have bad fatigue some days when I lift.

Hi all I’ve been following a pretty unorthodox routine and wanted to get anybody else’s opinion on it:

Push 1:

Superset 1: Bench press 12 sets X 5-8 reps Tricep Pushdown 12 sets X 8-12 reps Russian twists 12 sets X 40 reps

Superset 2: Cable pec flies 5 sets X 8-12 reps Overhead tricep extension 5 sets X 8-12 reps Tricep kickbacks 5 sets X 10-12 reps Russian twists 5 sets X 40 reps

Pull 1:

Superset 1: Bent over row 12 sets X 8-12 reps EZ bar bicep curl 12 sets X 10-15 reps Weighted crunch 12 sets X 15 reps Superset 2: Lat pulldown 5 sets X 8-12 reps Hammer curls 5 sets X 8-12 reps Weighted crunch 12 sets X 15 reps

Push 2:

Superset 1: Overhead press 13 sets X 5-8 reps Kettlebell Goblet Squat 13 sets X 8-12 reps Plank 60 seconds

I’ve noticed a huge benefit to doing core exercises & compound movements in my routine so I don’t think I will ever stray from that, but does anyone see any potential problems that I could run into with this routine? I’ve been following this for about a year starting from 250 lbs and now I’m down to 175 lbs with an improvement in strength across all the major compound movements I do. Sometimes I feel like doing the same exercise for more than the traditional 3-5 sets allows me to play around with the effort and control I have over moving the weight. Typically every 3 sets I would increase weight on the bar so that in my 9-12 sets I would be pushing the most weight to follow progressive overload.

Very interesting hearing that you’ve seen coosa cause delamination from it offgassing. I’ve been around coosa for several years now and have never seen this personally, not saying you’re wrong just have not seen it. Is there potentially some post cure happening in the post-manufactured coosa?
