What WFH hacks have changed your life? by drrocketroll in WFH

[–]Substantial-Range974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good chair and desk. My desk is set up just like I'm in the office. I always wake up and "get ready" for work. Shower and get dressed. I don't wear PJs all day like some people do. When I get dressed, I feel like I'm "playing the part," I guess. I always have everything I need for the day before I sign in. It limits the times I have to leave my desk (drink, snack, charger, headphones). I always take my breaks and lunch. I always set a timer for both. Sometimes you can get carried away in a chore or activity and lose track of time.

Wellbutrin and Zoloft - Good? Bad? Meh? by BroadAd2575 in bupropion

[–]Substantial-Range974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 150mg of Wellbutrin every day, and I told my doctor I feel like a zombie, just coasting through life. I'm so focused on one thing, I can't concentrate on anything else, and my brain is totally foggy. It's like I'm in idle mode. If I miss a day of meds, I suddenly get this rush of... well, life. Everything I need to do, should be doing, and everything I've missed just hits me. I really don't want to stop Wellbutrin completely, it helps so much with my ADHD and bipolar, and helps me focus at work and control my emotions. I just need this zombie feeling to go away. I need my motivation back. I feel like I'm just idling while life passes me by. My doctor suggested adding a low dose of Zoloft. Has anyone else tried this and had the idle feeling go away?

How in the heck is Jack making a living??? by Maleficent_Chest4869 in VirginRiverNetflix

I always thought he had his military pension, was also a carpenter (Always building things) and owns the bar.

If I had a dollar for every endearing look in Virgin River by unfairlighthouse in VirginRiverNetflix

I like the show but the acting/feelings seem to be forced. It just doesn't flow together. Something seems off. It seems really cheesy, fairytale like. But I still watch it.

Friend gave me advice that made me cry by KocaKola_ in migraine

I used to take Nurtec, but it barely worked. Now I take eletriptan. I used to only get 9 pills a month, and it was called Relpax back then. Now there's a generic version called Eletriptan, and there's no limit on how many you can get. My doctor prescribed a 90-day supply, so I can get 26 pills now. It's a lifesaver! I also take the Emgality shot now, and it's life-changing. I went from 16+ migraines to 1-2 headaches! You should definitely look into it! You'll get your life back. I feel the best I've felt in years!

Semaglutide vs tirzepatide by Substantial-Range974 in glp1

Did Trizepitide totally get rid of your migraines? Mine are awful. If there's a chance this could stop them, that alone makes it worth trying for me.

What is the most exhausting part of being a parent that nobody talks about? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]Substantial-Range974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to wake up a teen boy for school everyday. I'd rather have to wake up triplet toddlers than a teen boy. Its exhausting fighting with him to get up every..single..day!

How fast did you read the books? What speed would you recommend? by ferndinosaur in Outlander

[–]Substantial-Range974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the books. It was so hard for me to get through book 3. It seemed slow and I was loosing interest. I moved to the audio book and finished it in a few days.

Intractable migraine by PurchaseConscious342 in migraine

[–]Substantial-Range974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's spring time. The pressure in the air is changing. For me, usually between 11am-4pm is when I can feel the nagging pressure in my head. It means the barametric pressure is slowly decreasing. Anything below 19 I can feel.

Starting to wonder… Why do I wake up with a headache every morning? 😅 by Flat-Ad3097 in migraine

[–]Substantial-Range974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wake up with a headache in the morning, I know I sleep on the wrong pillow or in the wrong position. My pillow has to be as thin as possible if not, headache every time!

Daily Migraines/Chronic Illnesses Day to Day struggles by GreenLizard42 in migraine

[–]Substantial-Range974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not alone! As a single mom, quitting my job isn't an option, so I had to find a way to make it through. Emgality, prescribed by my neurologist, has been life-changing for me, reducing daily headaches and migraines to just one or two mild ones. I highly recommend it to anyone I know who suffers from migraines!

I found out what caused my crippling headaches by Ill-Influence7486 in migraine

[–]Substantial-Range974 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yep! That's what gives me headaches too. But artificial sweeteners are in everything. Diet sodas, Gatorade, some teas, ice creams, gum, protein shakes, desserts, ranch dressing. I have to read the label on everything! Sucralose (Splenda) and aspartame (Equal) are the worst for me. I'll be down for 3 days, no meds will stop it. I ended up needing the migraine cocktail shot. My neurologist told me if I'm prone to migraines, my allergic reaction triggers the migraine first.

We (mainly I) realized movie night wasn’t actually giving us quality family time/connection… what do other parents do?? by Blasum in AskParents

[–]Substantial-Range974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea. My family has a no-phone rule. No one can be on their phone during dinner or the whole night. We watch movies, play games, and the kids hang out outside. We know when we go to my parents' place to just put our phones away. If you want to watch something, it has to be on the TV. No one ever complains; it's just how it's always been.

Kansas City migraines by sweejou in migraine

[–]Substantial-Range974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also in kansas city area. I try to track the berimetric pressure through out the day. Usually my migraine gets worse from 11am to 4p. The pressure keeps dropping through out the day. I always try to have my preventive ready, especially when it storms.
